Thanks, and I know how to go through the land.
Oh, and sorry for the no updates lately, I've been slammed with work lately and moving my studio.
I'm still working on it though, so don't worry. I just want to post cool updates, and not just "I finished a building!" -

still living in glendale? and you have a studio?!Not sure how I'm going to do Toon Town. POTC should be relatively straight forward. I'm sorta making it up as I go along. I'm currently struggling with Fantasyland. I tell you - the utter lack of scenery options have made me want to just forget it many times, but it just has to be done.
And I still live in Glendale!
. . .

Hey everyone... encouraged by various recent attempts at Disneyland that I've seen around lately, I dusted off the ol' RCT3 disc and started back in on RCT3 Disneyland. Again, the difference between mine and others is scale. It's simply impossible to build anything but Disneyland on 254x254 and have it look and feel right. It's really cool to look over the walls of Fantasyland and see the Matterhorn right where it should be, and at the correct height! I started over on Fantasyland last night, and here's how far I got:
Villain Shoppe (Now the Herald Shoppe)
Overview
Snow White's Scary Adventures in progress
Enjoy. I'll be working more on this as I wait for locked cuts of the movies I'm scoring. -

Thanks guys.
Bushes/flowers/trees (for the most part) will be placed after everything is built. -

Hm... it seems a bit cold compared to Fantasyland, but it looks like more of a problem with the scenery choices. You need a warmer, more inviting feeling, and that may involve planting some shrubs and flowers or adding more colors. Or if you want to take the gamble, you can do the original faux facade Fantasyland that opened in 1955. -

Yeah, the scenery choices are somewhat... lacking. That's what takes the most time. That and making compromises on the diagonals and other proportions.
There was a point in time where I toyed with the idea of doing the original Fantasyland, but I didn't want to cop out on any area of the park, so I just went for it. I added trees and flowers at one point, just to see how it looked, and it does help a lot. I just want them out of the way until I'm done with the architecture.
Oh, and whoever changed my nickname... Awesome.
There will come a time when I will ask a favor of you... -

Looks great. I know you're not going to leave foliage out for the end product.
I noticed that everything is grass...Maybe try to make the land under the paths cobblestone or concrete, and maybe something similar under the buildings. Great job, can't wait. -

That.
Looks.
Hot.
Great job! The castle stone walls look fabulous. Be sure to do the interior justice as well. -

Mini Update 2:
Main Street Station.
I hate it and I hate RCT3. But this must be done.
Points if you can find the Escher-esque optical illusion I had to do to get it to look right. Or close to right... RCT3 is all about compromises... I had to offset the stairs and the whole Station grade one tile (to the east) from "park center" to have double-wide stairs going up from Main Street level. One stairway looked too small and pathetic. Three was WAY too big. The Station is on center though.
grr.
I'm taking the day off and doing Main Street. -

MICRO-mini update:
I hate the Station a lot less after adding the endcaps to the canopy that I previously forgot. City Hall, bathrooms and Fire Station help a lot too.

The screens are ok so far...with plants, i guess, they will look much, much, much better.

Everything looks great, up until the Main Street Station.... for some reason, it's too bulky in my mind... I know your doing it to scale, but maybe its the roof or something... I can't quite tell....
Anyway, everything else, castle, healdry shoppe, snow white, and even city hall and fire station alll look just like the real thing -

Hey guys.
So just a little bump so you don't think I've abandoned this at all. I took a break tonight from doing the music for the Lara Croft Tomb Raider ride for Paramount's King's Dominion to do a little work on RCT3 Disneyland.
More later!
Tomb Raider opens on March 19 I think. Maybe April 3. I should probably know.
