It's going to be as complete as possible inside and out. There's already shops inside the castle on the ground floor, just like the real thing. Yes, it's a lot of work - but it's never too much.

I hate EVERYTHING Disney, even my other half's Spotlight winning masterpiece (Yeah you B, with your Tilted Acres and crazy tights!).

Though my grudge for the company is well-known, I can't help but see the amazing detail you are putting into this and commend you on the vey good effort and result thus far.

Can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks, Raven. Personally, I'm not too thrilled with Disney right now myself. The company is undenyably broken and lost at this juncture. However, my love for Disneyland and Disneyland's effect on my life is unchanging. The main reason I minored in archtiecture in school was to get into Imagineering (which I did) and to have an excuse to meet other themed entertainment designers - so I could write music for them!

But yeah - Disney as a company is no different than Walmart in my book right now. Unfortunately.

California Adventure is about the only thing from Disney that I like. Now that is a cool place. Other than the horrendously long lines I waited in, the park was clean and full of atmosphere. I didn't get a chance to catch Disneyland though.

I was small when I went to Disneyworld. I hated it minus the Haunted Mansion.

As far as overall attractions, I just flat-out hate Disney's style. Though i do realize they are primarily a family-oriented park, they neglect the other half of the themepark industry and just launch retardedely-themed rides with amazing technology.

If I want a ride to be themed, I don't personally want to see Mickey Mouse while I go into a corkscrew.

Granted the Loony Tunes are just as bad, but atleast Six Flags has the balls to just push the envelope with thrill rides.

IDK, Disney in Paris was kinda cool, but desolate and lacking in overall care.

I just dislike Disney, I never liked the cartoons as a child and I will never like anything they promote, minus a few PIXAR films, which will soon be out of Disney's nazi-grasp.

Just my thoughts on why I dislike Disney.

Thanks for sharing... It's quite interesting to hear from someone who doesn't enjoy cartoons and theme parks... But remember, if you ever get to Tokyo, be sure to take a day to see DisneySea. You WON'T be disappointed. Top-notch theming (hardly anything Disney related) and quality thrill rides. Or just visit IoA...

I'm doing the sound and music for one feature that's going to Sundance and the music for one that's going straight to the SciFi channel. I'll try and post some pics tonight.

As an experiment out of frustration over the limited selection of lighting colors, I tried "gelling" the available lights using the colored glass walls by building a box and plopping a path light in it.

It doesn't work.

Yes i tried that same technique for lighting to look like something was on fire. since if you put a ton of path light near each other, it's super-bright yellow, but hence it's ONLY super-bright yellow.

I love themeparks and cartoons, BtW...
Just not ones made by Disney.

make sure you include club 33, and the museum thingy in the new orleans section on top of the corner restraunt =D

oh yeah, and since you were an imagineer (am i reading correctly?), it'd be safe to say you were in glendale right? Do you still live in California?

Not sure how I'm going to do Toon Town. POTC should be relatively straight forward. I'm sorta making it up as I go along. I'm currently struggling with Fantasyland. I tell you - the utter lack of scenery options have made me want to just forget it many times, but it just has to be done.

And I still live in Glendale!

On the tle i think the oink looks great having just come back from disney it looks alot like the castle their. The only thing is the gray bottom part is a tad to big it barely reaches above the water and it stops at the bridge.

Anyway i like the map looks just about right.


One question how are you going to recreate big thunder? you cant go through mountains anymore
thats proabably the main reason i got worked up about rct3.
