Wow I guess Memphis is better than I thought. If they can keep scoring at that pace, they'll be a force to be reckoned with. Looks like the defense could use a little work though. -

Nah, as long as they "Phoenix Suns" everyone, they'll be fine.
Of course, three years ago, it would have been "Dallas Mavs'ing" everyone. -

Hey man, the Kings are getting better on defense now that Webber is gone.......but i guess your rightCareful there, they aren't the only team that doesn't play any defense.

oh, and www.nba.com has a nifty new layout (unveiled two nights ago, or last night I think). It's pretty nice. -

Well, if Chickie had a "Refrigerator" style quote for when it's over for the Lakers, it might go something like this:
"This season's in the trash can! The lid is closed, the stench is horrid, the flies are buzzing, and the garbage is getting bad!"
I blame Mitch Kupchack as well as a team that just couldn't mature over the course of the season. When you can't play defense, you're gonna lose, period. And when you have to give it 100% every night but barely hit 80%, you're not gonna do much.
Here's to next year. -

Well, yeah, but I don't think any ONE player can these days. Even MJ had Scottie. Kobe has.... erm.... yeah....
We'll have some fun next year, you and I, trashtalking about basketball. -

The Kings with Brad Miller and Bobby Jackson are not worse. Skinner and Thomas have been turning some heads and Mobley's been an upgrade over Doug. Of course Miller and Jackson may not be ready for the first round, so there's that. Either way I think it's a good series. But I'd rather play Seattle. -

Hmmmm now they are just a bunch of gaurds and Brad(whos not that big anyway.) They lost there two big men (Webber, Divac).

Please.... Ill break it down for you.Well they definatly arent better from last year, they lost Steve Nash. It's just that the Kings are worse.
First off, at the 5 spot you all can't compete. Brian Skinner (or whatever) is no comparison to Dampier, who gets you a solid double double nightly. Then you have good ol' Dirk, who will give Brad Miller all the problems in the world. Josh Howard and Michael Finley will force Mobley and Peja to play D (We know they are'nt known for that), and Josh Howard will give all Peja he can hand on Defense. Then bring Jerry Stackhouse and Marquis Daniels of the bench? Ouch. Sacto would not touch Dallas this year, if yall ended up playing each other Dallas would win 4-1, maybe sweep.
Trust, you want Seattle much more than you want Dallas.
You are 9-8 without Webber.... you are worse without him.
