Well we gave it run tonight. Knew it would be a shoot out and would come down to the final minutes.
We'll get em next time.
although I hate to admit it, Nash = MVP -

Damn Seattle lost that game?!?!
I almost knew it was over.
As for the Rockets they finally ran the floor, and guess what happened? They won by 16! Its amazing. -

Kobe haters and Iris might get a huge kick out of this pic:
Kobe suffered a severely sprained ankle tonight. Now we see if the Lakers can win without him. At this rate, they've been Pacerized... or have they? We'll see, since we still beat Cleveland tonight (altho it was at home). -

I agree, the Kings are going to be Ok this year. The trade for Mobley will really help in the athletic department. He had three blocks in his debut, in which he looked very good even without knowing the play sets. Seattle ia a flash in the pan, great first half but they will fall apart eventually. Pheonix is flat out scary, but not in a "playoff" way, they need to figure out defense or they will fail like Dallas and Sacramento have for the past few years. Best team in the NBA?, Heat, as of right now. -

Nope. They stand no chance against the West. And that'll kill them. I mean losing to the CLIPPERS?!I agree, the Kings are going to be Ok this year. Anyway, Seattle and Phoenix should both make it in a couple of rounds, unless the Suns lose Nash during the playoffs. Then they're sunk.
My NBA Champion pick remains the Spurs. They play D and have all the pieces this year. Their only true weakness if free throw shooting, but that's never been notorious as a championship killer. The Kings have definitely rebounded from that freak losing start and will make the playoffs.
I just wish the Lakers would be more consistent. And w/o Kobe so far, it looks like they're absolute abysmal, needing a comeback to squeak by pitiful Golden State and losing to the Kirilenko-less Utah Jazz. Pathetic. -

^ No Nash = last year's Suns.
Kinda to be a T-Wolves fan right now, as they've slumped to .500. Twice in a week, they've been ahead of the Lakers and lost. Oh well, I don't mind. But if we play with this sort of effort, keeping the defense up so that don't give up 100 pts a game, we'll be alright. -

Another person falls to the "step on someone else's foot and sprain your ankle" bug. Nesterovic this time in the Suns/Spurs game.
Nash is back, though, and Phoenix is looking a LOT better with him. -

God finally the Rockets are clicking. Perhaps if we get rolling even more sports analysts will rightfully recognize Tracy McGrady as the best wing player in the game (LeBron and Kobe aren't at his level at all).
Oh yeah, and horra for Scott Padgett -

Defition of sad:
http://sports.espn.g...m/nba/standings
A division winner can be seeded no lower than #3. Right now, the crappiest division leader is the Philadelphia 76ers, who are three games UNDER .500.
Comparatively, the #8 seed in the East is the surging Chicago Bulls, sitting at .500 with a 19-19 ledger. The best team in the Atlantic would barely make the playoffs if the divisional rules didn't kick in.
Now that's just plain pathetic.
Oh, and by virtue of Phoenix going on that slide, suddenly, Sacramento is only one loss behind the Suns in the standings!!! Wow. -
