    Cork,

We are all surprized with the 9-1 start of the Sonics and we are indeed waiting for the 3 point shooting to come to an end. Granted Ray Allen is off to a great start but the key so far is they now have a semi legit big man now and they are getting some great rebounds. Listening to the sports radio up here, the general feeling is they can win 40 games this year which is a big step for them.

The real problem is they have 7 players in their free agent year this year. A couple of them will be good to get rid of but 3 or 4 of them they need to keep and could be costly.

Anyway. It's a fun ride right now but reality will soon hit.

Detroit fans get what they deserve.
As me an LA fan, may Detroit Pistons fans get their ass kicked.
Now imagine if that was Shaq, Kobe, and Gary Payton out their.
More of an ass kicking. :|''''

My sources tell me Jermaine O'Neal has been signed to a developmental contract to the WWE after that insane punch he landed on that idiot Detroit fan. Check out video if you can see it (ESPN or prolly some local news)... he took him OUT!

That was insane. WWE-style! :D Or actually, it's more like ECW given the fans being involved.

    Crazay!!!

They have a video of the fight up at ESPN now. Just click on the ESPN Motion thing on the right side bar. When I got it, they played this football thing first, but after that they showed the fight, so just be patient. There's a great slo-mo of Jermaine O'Neal DECKING some idiot fat Mexican Detroit fan who came out onto the floor.

Detroit lost all of my respect right there...

Fans need to know their role...

NO FANS AT THE PALACE NEXT 50 GAMES!!!!! PLZZ!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty funny when Ron punched that fat dude in the face.
Deserves it, though. Did you see the fans when they were poring there drinks all over his, and the securitys head. What douchebags.

Well I dubt O'Neil, Jones and Wallace will never be able to play again, but im willing to bet thats it for artest, Ban his ass for life so he can stick with Rap, btw im suprised he's a rapper, he did not shank anyone? Also Indiana is fucked without their stars now
  • Junior%s's Photo
Artest is not a rapper, in a article I read in a Basketball forum, he's an R&B singer.

    Oh yeah, fuck Pistons. :D
  • Aeroglobe%s's Photo
Good God, Jermaine O'Neal hit that man hard!

Apparantly, they've been suspended "indefinitely". Dunno about how Artest is gonna be punished on this one. I think it was pretty bad on Wallace's part, though, for pushing Artest in the first place.

I'm 10Xs more disgusted at the fans myself...
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
Seriously... this never would have happened if that moron didn't decide to throw a cup of beer at Artest. That was totally uncalled for, especially since Artest took the high road after the initial scuffle and sat out of it.

Spurs lost to the Raptors yesterday. Disappointing. I thought Carter was going to Portland...

Detroits fans got way out of hand, but the Pacers should have controlled themselves more. Artest deseres the rest of the season suspension he got handed to him and the thug belongs in jail. The NBA doesn't need that kind of trash in the league.

    Here's my point of view.

    1) Yes, the fans at Detroit (which right now I'm ashamed to say I live in Michigan to be honest with you being a Pistons fan in my own right) got out of hand. BUT...

    2) There NBA starts aren't getting paid these ungodly amounts of money JUST to play basketball. They represent a club, a company, and the franchise of the NBA as a whole. It's a freaking GLASS OF ICE AND BEER. You get paid those millions to act more maturly than the next guy, even if he's a total fucking asshole. I agree with the "harsh" smackdown on (while everyone...), the Pacers in general.

But forreal, Pacers wise, talk about getting screwed with your pants on. I'm a huge Pistons fan and hate the Pacers just as much as the next guy, but if we're in a rivalry I want it to be real like last year, not having the Pacers hampered by missing 3 starters for 25 games, and having the defensive player of the year out for the year. It's not satisfying to win like that.

Lakers are actually TWO GAMES above .500!!!! WOW!!!! :birthday2:
  • VC15SA%s's Photo
Well, Hubie Brown quit. Health reasons. I believe.
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
More like his spirit wasn't into it. I guess that's a health reason in a way, but it's nothing dire.

And Ed and Aero, I hope you guys are happy. We gave you a freakin win tonight. :'( Stupid fouling Peja 49 billion times... why don't we just GIVE him forty free points. Geez. That was horrible, and it's all our fault. The only consolation is that we know we can at least compete with Sacramento and Phoenix, but if you don't win, that still doesn't mean much.
  • aero21%s's Photo
Yeah, i'm happy. It doesn't mean much though. The Lakers just are not what they used to be. They are playing on pride right now, but eventually the loosing will get to them. Sacramento is doing what they always doo, find the pieces to the puzzle and get them all clicking together.
Was it just me or does Vlade look absolutely depressed? He was almost in tears during the pregame interview with Grant Napier, our play by play guy.
  • Micool%s's Photo
Well, it may not be the best of games, but, on Sunday, In-N-Out Burger, the company I work for, (even though I'm vegetarian,) has VIP suite tickets to the Warriors-Clippers game, and yep, I'm going.
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
    Definition of crappy team history:
The L.A. Clippers' record of 8-6 is their best start through 14 games since 1984-85.... their first year in Los Angeles.

    Now that's just sad...

And the Lakers won! But then again, it was the Hornets. I would have been REALLY pissed off if they'd lost to the lowly Hornets.
  • Micool%s's Photo
And the Clippers won. I know. I was there. We tried to hide in the closets, but it didn't work :(
