Well I didn't see either of those games, so what do I know anyway? Other than it definately was a factor in that Dallas series. -

Well Miami got a much needed win last night. I only saw the fourth quarter, but it seemed like some pretty exciting stuff. -

It was only game 2. not THAT much of a must-win.Well Miami got a much needed win last night. I only saw the fourth quarter, but it seemed like some pretty exciting stuff.
anyway. I'm still thinking Pistons there. -

well, it was sorta a must win, cuz if you lose both of your games at home, you got to THEIR building down 2-0, which usually isn't good. -

I never said must-win . *agrees with corkscrewed*It was only game 2. not THAT much of a must-win.

Jeeze I know Phoenix ain't that great of a playoff team, but San Antonio is looking pretty hard to beat at this point. Should be interesting to see if the Heat/Pistons can stop em'. -

Well gee, that was a rather anticlimactic Western Conference Finals... when's the last time the Eastern finals were more interesting than the west?
Defense wins. But hopefully Miami proves that wrong so that my prediction works out.
Wow, George Mikan passed away today. For those of you who have no idea who I'm talking about, he was the Lakers center back in the Minneapolis days and was the NBA's first dominant big man. Its first superstar, really.

The sport has lost a legend. -

Oly crap, Detroit destroyed Miami tonight! They went from playing their worst game of the playoffs to making the Heat do the same. Miami better hope Wade can come back.
Winner-take-all GAME 7 on Monday. Awesome. -

Yeah, Miami got slaughtered. I really hope Miami wins it because I think Spurs-Miami would be much more interesting. But the Spurs would beat Detroit too.
On another note, as much as I dislike Shaq on the court, off the court he has a good heart. Nice of him to pay for Mikan's funeral. -

Well, Fatha, you were right about Detroit. So I tip my hat off to you there.
I'm rooting for the Spurs, but this'll be like the lowest scoring finals ever. -

not if people know what's good for them. And probably the lowest rated...
these are two very good teams, I can see this going 6 or 7 games.
as for my prediction for a winner? um. well. check back later, I have to think about this. -

Pistons in 6 games. If it goes 7, Detroit will not repeat because San Antonio has even MORE experience in pressure situations thatn Detroit. Its gonna be good. -

Yes, but their styles are anything but exciting (except when Billups goes crazy and hits buzzer beaters like a man possessed). The two best teams? Prolly, but it's gonna be a slow, grinding series that most fans will snore at.not if people know what's good for them.

Then I don't understand how they are basketball fans...
Honestly, I would have liked to see Miami, but Detroit should be a great matchup too. -

um... cuz most basketball fans like high scoring flashy plays "exciting" play. It's how sports is in general. Most baseball fans prefer homers over pitching duels. Most basketball fans prefer offense over defense.
