It looks like Bush is going to win Florida.
Ohio will decide the election, no doubt. And it's going Bush's way now.
And if Bush does get Ohio, he still has to get Nevada and NM, or one of them and Colorado.
In the end, it looks like Bush.
Asperix, why would it eat you? What has his administration done that affected you in a bad way?
BTW, I've been watching MSNBC the whole time. -

Ohio = 2004's Florida.
Ohio has a late Democratic surge expected, because the precincts not in are predominantly Democratic.
At least I hope. -

CNN just projected Bush to win Florida.
But they still don't have MT, WA, or OR.
Edit - MSNBC just gave Bush Colorado.Edited by ECC, 02 November 2004 - 11:21 PM.

No Child Left Behind ring any bells? I don't know any high school teachers that don't hate Bush for this one. Now, I'm not debating on whether or not it was a good plan or not, but it certainly wasn't followed through with. It basically turned our education system from a place of learning to a robot school for kids who can pass tests. Not to mention funding cuts for any and all arts related programs...I bet most people here cannot answer that question
Yes, I realize this has nothing to do with this election (please dont kill me, ECC)... -

Ok, ECC. You most likly think that Bush is some demigod.
Well, not for me, and about 50% of America.
Because of Bushes horrible policies toward other countries and the war in Iraq I am going to get to pay back 27trillion dollars worth of debt along with the rest of my generation.
Last time I checked, that's gonna effect me.
Bush wants to ban gay marriage, although it doesn't affect me directly it goes against my morals and personal opinion.
Bush is fighting a loosing war in Iraq. We are loosing troops daily, men are dying that do not need to be dying. That effects me emtionaly.
Bushes idiotic tax cuts just incure more debt that I am going to have to pay, and they don't affect the econemy.
Bush is leading a jobless econemy growth, that affects me because my Dad doesn't have the job he should. Bush has no right to claim that he has had anything to do with current growth. -

I would like to give Bush a royal FUCK YOU for this. -

Point taken on some of those. But you can't blame all job loss on the president. Sure, it happens while he is in office, that's why the Democrats used that in their ads. And also, all new jobs being created can't be credited to him, but since they happen during his term, the republicans will use that in their ads.
It works both ways, in a sense.
No, I don't see bush as a "demigod," but I do support him a lot more than Kerry.
Florida is pretty much in the bag for Bush, now. -

Test driven education is bad, I do agree with that. But arts funding is not the job of the federal government.
JBruckner, the debt is still at a low in regards to a total percentage of the GDP. And that is what counts.
Most active duty military support Bush. And remember the question is "Will you go?" not "Do you want to go?"
Tax cuts do help. The IRS has reported getting more money.
It takes time for economies to reflect events. Bush entered with a declining economy and had 9/11. The last year has been the fastest growth ever. -
JBruckner Offline
I can't believe that you use that.
There is a .3 percent difference in the growth these past four years compared to that when Bill Clinton was in office.
That barely accounts for inflation. -

While it is a small chance, Florida has an UNGODLY amount of absentee ballots uncounted which could swing the state to Kerry...while high unlikely...it's a possiblility.
I'm waiting for the democrat surge in Ohio, hoping it's enough to pull the state for Kerry. -

While I agree without that concept outside of the education system, our schools are meant to provide students with everything they might need outside of high school. If they can offer classes for accounting, wood shop, programming, literature, or whatever the fuck else, why not music? Why not art, drama, literature, dance...? A general education in the arts never hurt anyone, especially those that wish to persue it as a career.Test driven education is bad, I do agree with that. But arts funding is not the job of the federal government.
...Hell, with better art classes, Kerry might have had a better sign. -

My dad just told me that FOX has called Ohio for Bush. And Yahoo says 82% percent have reported with Bush winning.
I just feel the education should be more state controlled The problem is the states can't get funding because so much is taken for the federal machine. -

I don't think it's just a decision time for the U.S, because the decisions made by the U.S Pres. affect the decisions made by AUSTRALIA's fucked up Prime Minister. There's my "two cents". -

I just realized this would all be over if DC didn't get to vote. Without DC, Kerry wouldn't get the majority even if he won Ohio. -

Whatever....................
You are right ECC....
I am wrong because I play a card game that gives me an extra $5K minimum a year on the side.

According to NBC, Bush is projected to get Ohio and Alaska, putting him at 269. Even if Kerry cleans up the rest of the states, he can only tie Bush. Congratulations Bush, my condolences, world. -

I'd expect a tad bit more maturity from you, Raven, than that.
And of course Fox News would report Ohio for Bush... they'd call him the winner already if they could. Anyway, Kerry's got an uphill battle, and things don't look good. It's a shame really, because unless Bush can really turn his policies around, another four years of the same may very well leave this country extremely fragmented. -

What is so great about Canada? More taxes and socialism? Hooray for the end of freedom.
The IRS has sad it is getting plenty of money despite Bush's tax cuts. I guess we could go Kerry's way and raise taxes and still spend all that money and then some.
If you believe that there will be a draft you are obviously not aware of the current state of the US military. The ROTC program has created problems with the motives of soldiers. Too many are there merely to go to college. There are stil many troops that could be sent. But there would have to be a complete turn around in what is happening for such massive numbers to be needed.
Why does the world's opinion matter? "If everybody jumped off of a bridge, would you?"
Again, Kerry would be more align with Hitler than Bush if you removed the war and racism.
