MONSTER'S DEADLY WARNING TO 'RED' STATES

    By NILES LATHEM

November 1, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - Osama bin Laden warned in his October Surprise video that he will be closely monitoring the state-by-state election returns in tomorrow's presidential race — and will spare any state that votes against President Bush from being attacked, according to a new analysis of his statement.

The respected Middle East Media Research Institute, which monitors and translates Arabic media and Internet sites, said initial translations of a key portion of bin Laden's video rant to the American people Friday night missed an ostentatious bid by the Saudi-born terror master to divide American voters and tilt the election towards Democratic challenger John Kerry.

MEMRI said radical Islamist commentators monitored over the Internet this past weekend also interpreted the key passage of bin Laden's diatribe to mean that any U.S. state that votes to elect Bush on Tuesday will be considered an "enemy" and any state that votes for Kerry has "chosen to make peace with us."

The statement in question is when bin Laden said on the tape: "Your security is up to you, and any state that does not toy with our security automatically guarantees its own security."

That sentence followed a lengthy passage in the video in which bin Laden launches personal attacks on the president.

Yigal Carmon, president of MEMRI, said bin Laden used the Arabic term "ay-wilaya" to refer to a "state" in that sentence.

That term "specifically refers to an American state, like Tennessee," Carmon said, adding that if bin Laden were referring to a "country" he would have used the Arabic word "dawla."

MEMRI also translated an analysis of bin Laden's statement from the Islamist Web site al-Qal'a, well known for posting al-Qaeda messages, which agreed that bin Laden's use of the word "ay-wilaya" was meant as a "warning to every U.S state separately."

"It means that any U.S. state that will choose to vote for the white thug Bush as president, it means that it chose to fight us and we will consider it an enemy to us, and any state that will vote against Bush, it means that it chose to make peace with us and we will not characterize it as an enemy," the Web site said, according to MEMRI's translation.

Watch out for those republican states...oh wait I'm in one...

Is he blowing smoke or being dead serious?

I'm not sure if he is serious or not but this could have somthing to do with that threat we heard in like Aug. or Sept. about how they would attack during the elections.
Also, I'm getting sick and tierd of Bin Laden and wish he would STFU, leave us the fuck alone, and go die some where so we, and the rest of the world, don't have to ever hear or see his stupid ass again. Unfortunetly, that probably won't happen any time in the near future.

Does any one know what party Illinois is? I belive we are a Democratic state but I'm not sure right now.

So basically Osama runs the country now?  Fuck that.

I 100% agree. Why should a stupid piece of shit terrorist control our country?

I wouldn't be suprised if Kerry dressed up as bin Ladin and had Edwards film it.

Actually, to be perfectly honest, I'm on the fence about it. One moment I'm passing it off as an ignorant comment, then the next moment I'm actually taking him literally.

man..sucks to be in Texas (which I am)..we are one of the biggest republican states out there..

I wouldn't doubt it either if it was a hoax haha! Kerry probably learned osamas language in vietnam like everything else..

I just found that on CNN.com. It actully says that that threat towards specific states is untrue. From what I read, Al-Queda's plan is actully to bankrupt America. I think the bankrupt article would be more true because why would Osama actully say which states he is gonna attack? That'd be poor strategy IMO.
I guess will have to wait and see which article is true.

Osama's a douchebag, we need to fucking take him out before he instates anymore terror* to our torn nation. What's funny though, is he has to result to such low-blow tactics as these to get his way, reminds me of Lady MacBeth in that Shakespeare play we're reading now. That's bull shit.

Anyways, in response to RCTfan's statement: seems like the news experts aren't really learned in arabic and are making up whatever they want to... which ever article is more true, it doesn't matter, just the fact that we as citizens are suceptible to this serious bias and propoganda resulsuting from disturbing truth is something that everyone should be outraged over.

    America sucks.

*fear is interchangeable with terror, it's not like he's going to do anything, right? :\

*sigh* Ah shit, there goes the neighborhood. Damn it lol. Well being as most of the north east is lit up blue and the rest of the country is red... The north east is fucked... *Talks like Billy Bob Thorton* Ya know life is fucked up in so many ways... It can be good bad and plain shitty..."

I love being Born American sometimes but it gets annoying to be in these worn out shoes of a 17 year old who has high political understanding day after day.

    :!!:

America is a nation run by media. This is why many people panic when they hear terrorist and all that shiz.. Now why can't people listen to thier own opinions of media like believe what they believe is right , not what the media says (half the time its wrong). Media is all about obscure tip offs and things.Such as the election , One channel says say Bush is 1.6% ahead another channel says Kerry is ahead by 5.0 % point rate. it depends on where the channel gets thier source... State by state area by area. its All Medial crap.

The question is whether or not Bin Laden actually knows that much about the election of the president. Most Americans don't even know how it is done so "state" may be entire nation and not a US state.

    This is all bullshit man.

Firstly, its your damn government which insites terror, but they do it so cleverly that most citizens dont notice it. They have you on a yoyo, they'll keep it all quiet, then bam! out of no where they issue warnings of terror attacks, it keeps you in suspense and makes you think you actually have something to fear. Its their way of justifying their attack on Iraq. It makes you want to attack the so called 'terrorists' before they attack you. Since 911, how many times have you been on high alert of a terror attack, then look at how many times you have actually been attacked. If anybody has even the slightest interest in politics, watch Farenheit 911. Its a really interesting documentary!

Anyways on the topic of the tape. I think its bullshizzle, its prolly just some discreet form of poll rigging by either Bush or Kerry. I'd just ignore it and continue to vote as you would.

One thing to note is that the Bush and Bin Laden families are actually very closely tied through their oil exploits, I believe if Bush remains president it could be very proffitable for both families, and im sure they've came up with some clever way to ensure Bush stays in power. [the tape]

wow.. i'm just speechless by what people have been saying in response to this stupid article.

Same. It takes 2 to make a war. You know that Osama's motives aren't unprovoked right? I mean, he didn't just wake up one morning and say, I know, let's fly some planes into the twin towers, because, we, um, can!

For the record, the suggestion that made me laugh the most was when someone said Kerry must have learnt arabic in Vietnam. That shows the extent of worldy knowledge in America.

The fact is, that from Vietnam where America invaded with the arrogant attitude that their way, capitalism, was the way that everyone should live their lives, to Israel, America is an interfering, self righteous nation. I'm not justifying 9/11 in any way shape or form, but I have equal hatred for both Americans who take the attitude that many have taken in this thread, and muslims who hold similar grudges towards America.

Pathetic, no matter how you look at this.
  • lazyboy97O%s's Photo
Adonis, you realize that Bush got out of the oil business because he was a complete and utter failure right? And the Bin Laden family deals in construction, primarily mosques, and not oil. So where exactly does this oil connection come into play if neither is that business?

Bin Laden is full of shit.

"Adonis" is full of shit, too.
