Iraq will not survive as a free society if we just leave. History is on our side for that. After World War I the Weimar Republic was set up in germany but everybdoy just left. Since Hitler and all that mumbo gumbo happened. The United States is a sort of fluke in history. Washington had an entire nation at his finger tips but gave up that power. It took England hundred of years to finally take power from the king. France suffered many violent revolutions during the 19th century. It was the military might of the United States that destroyed the Spviet Union. History has shown that free society will most likely have to be the result of war.

Israel was not created out of wholey Arab controlled land. As you said it was British controlled land. And even then look at how small a sliver of land it is. It is a fraction of the Arab world. And what is wrong with the creation of a Jewish state. The Jewish people are the most persecuted people in all of history. Things may have been done in the wrong manner but shouldn't freedom loving people help the cause of other freedo loving people?

Americans will never forget the 3,000 that died that day, so they feared for their lives and trusted a President (who thought he was doing the right thing) in a war in Iraq. one of which has turned out in so far a failure to secure peace in the nation. 15,000 have died for this mistake, yes they are casualties of war, or as some say Collateral damage. If you don't even feel sad or even feel a LITTLE guilty for their deaths, then it is no more different then what Joseph Stalin said years ago. "One death is a tragedy, a thousand is just a statistic". 15,000 as in 3000 X 5 times over.

This war on Terror, to me, is nothing more then a tool to keep people scared. just like with President Bush Sr. and his "War on Drugs" which ended up to be a big failure to really stop drugs. terrorism is different, yes that is true. yet a terrorist can be anyone, a woman, a teenager, a man working at Blockbuster anybody. If a group of people truly believe in something they will not give up, and they only true form they have to resist and get noticed, is through terrorism. will they get noticed. What the terrorist forces don't understand is that they only fuel the causes and why's to leaders like Bush and Ashcroft.

I don't support terrorism, or any use of force. because it only buries the war further into more hatred. I'd be in support of covert actions, that would not be noticed by Congress, or the media or the public for that matter. in other words... CIA and FBI. to get what they need to protect this nation, just as we have laws now as well as measures to stop drug trafficking.

In the end, it comes down to foriegn policy. How can we support 6 million people on a sliver of land over 200 million people in the region.

What is wrong with the creation of a Jewish state? the region was originally (At the time) Arab. yes i know Israeli's held the area thousands of years ago. So did the Native Americans owned America but you don't see the world falling head over heels to create the original Indian state.

on a side note, i don't think Soviet Union fell to American military might, but by economic failure and its own creation. Soviet Premier Brezniev was by far the worst, for economy, and most corrupted leader the Soviet Union (Every politician is corrupted to some degree). Lost billions of doller when he was in his drunken reign. I blame economic failure and corruption, and partially Yeltsin for acting on minority wants, that ended shreading the Union, at the same time getting Yeltsin Presidency.

The night before this video came out my dad and I were discussing why Bin Laden was dead. Our reason was that he had not released a video in so long. And my dad had said this would be the prime time for him to release a tape proving he is alive.
