    Update 4b

This is just a quick little update. The Intamin launched multi-element Anaconda will be cut from the parks coaster lineup. The entire that Anaconda was previously in is being reworked so it sits at the 2 land marker level. The candidates to replace Anaconda include......

    Giga-Coaster
    2nd Woodie
    Stand-Up Coaster
    Flying Coaster (Vekoma)
    - The leading candidate so far is to place a suspended in its place.

In other news, the themed area count will also take a cut, as now there are only 10 areas marked off as opposed to 11. One had to be dropped because if I had made this area, it would have been entirely to cramped between the edge of the map and Andes Village (That area is far too big, I should have though through before I built it). Even still, 10 areas is not bad, considering most parks have 5 or so.

    Enjoy my text.

i think fatha just likes writing up these little advertisements to wet everyone's lips and then dissapoint us when he doesn't finish. :p

but seriously, if you can finish this shit and it's half as cool as it sounds...well, shit.

My vote would either be a stand-up or suspended. Both have very little use compared to the other coaster types right now, and seeing either one would be a nice change.

Suspendeds are the shit. You should do one.

    Suspended. = )

I found a great collection of pictures from "City Of God" at a architecture/city/infastructure website I frequent. Here.

See, that's how I remember it looking. Even the big structures don't look like the structures you'd find in slums in US cities. They still look hobbled together and falling apart. And there isn't one wall anywhere that's all one color. I don't know how exactly to convey that look in RCT, but the stacks of ghost train stations doesn't quite work for me on it's own. There needs to be more loose pieces leaning off in weird angles and such. And lots of power lines going nowhere. And all third world cities have shanty towns around their perimeter where the really poor people live and those are basically loose boards and sheets of corrugated steel leaning together. And lots of cloteslines too. And you can see that in some of those pics (like that part where they make the kid shoot his friend).

Well, heres my take on it. Im not going to compromise my belief in what makes an area good (IE, massive sculptures, tons of coaster hacks, etc). Im planning on adding the power lines, the clotheslines, some small little shacks etc etc. But some things you can't expect to be executed perfectly. RCT has limitations, and when you try too hard to push those limitations, things turn out ugly sometimes. If I were to take tons of coaster tracks and such to make a small little shack, it would look horrendous and it would be pointless for me to do so. Im doing my best to do an interpretation of the City of God in RCT, not a replica.

The area rules. I mean, obviously, since you made it ;).

Couple of things that personally I'd change - although the red arches are a good injection of a little colour, I think their design is too cartoony for City of God (I'm watching it atm so it's fresh in my mind!). The arch over the stairs has a little problem for me as well - although I think the paper thin wall syndrome is just about ok, it looks like it would collapse really easily under the weight of what's going over the path - I know it's City of God but that looks too dodgy imo - perhaps some banners going over the paths or something?

Can't say I like the architecture, but the coaster looks absolutely badass.

Yep they are top 15 in architecture programs so i was very, very shocked due to my low GPA (3.3) and their standard (3.7 or so).

Anyways, hopefully some progress will be started on the park this weekend, its been really slow. The only update I can give you are the extreme issues I am having with Acancounga, because its intensity is gone through the roof for some reason and I cant fix it. Im just gonna accept it as it is, because its stats were really 9.75, 8.5, and about 5.6 before something went wrong. And even with the bad stats, the ride is still quite dynamic, and it needs to stay as is.

    Update 6

Here is a big screen update so to speak, it has two screens displaying the new area Galapagos: The Living Land. Let me introduce the first one to you all....

This is actually between the City of God and The Galapagos, and serves as a large geological-like feature separating the contrasting sections. You can see the severe elevation change between the Galapagos and the City of God, as the City of God lies in a deep valley between two higher planes of land. The Galapagos is actually the highest point in the park ironically, and it is situated on a mountain so to speak. Here is the western face of that 'mountain.'

The second screen is an actual peek into the area itself. let me point out the Iguanadon Flatride on the top of the screen, and towards the bottom you can see a food shack. The architecture is limited, and the area itself will only have about 5 or so buildings. The point of the area is to achieve an exotic and geological feel, and I am still working to achieve that the best way possible. There are many tree arrangements in this area (Even cherry trees are here), and there are so many to achieve a sense of vibrance. Again, the red and black rock serve as geological features. Oh, and you get a little taste of Savage Current (well, the entrance sign on the extreme right hand side of the image).

Ok, this is your nice weekend screen update. You probably wont see any new screens until next weekend, and that is when you might just see what Savage Current looks like. Until then, thoughts and feedback is quite welcomed.

    Enjoy.

Impressive and very immersive to say the least.

Although I don't really like the redish-tan wood walls on the red rock, it would like better just being normal i think. The grey looks excellent as is.

I think tan (dirt) footpath would somehow be more appropriate but maybe I'm wrong.

Fatha' I'm going to be honest with you I'm probably your least greatest admirer. I always thought your parks were overrated, to be frank. But GODDAMN. I think I am in love with your new style. Those last screens are incredible. I fucking love the mixture of black and red with the green foilage and water, but done somehow so much differently -- and possibly better -- than ever before. Please don't change the sand under the paths it's perfect. It's like I dunno what makes this so great but you seem to have a touch for making old ideas new and fresh again. Careful with that waterfall, it's a little choppy and square, an illusion partly created by the land formation in the water above. Other than that it's gorgeous, keep it up dude.
