How did you get the minigolf station to hack through the path without making the path all gay and glitchy?

But anyway, beautiful screen, fatha'. Loving every bit of it. I'm amazed with the amount of detail work that has gone into this park. Simply amazing.

Looks very SWA era RRPish to me.

    yeah really amazing.
i like the colors and the hacks :0

but I don`t like this "gosty bowls" over the restaurant.
    there are to much bowls.

Agreed. The cauldrons are the only complaint i have with this screen. They look out of place and there are too many of them.

Aside from that, perfect screen, i love it.

I love how you managed to get the martain objects to blend flawlessly into the area. The mini-golf station at grade is another stand out idea. I have only two suggestions, the cauldrons seem out of place, as does the extended sloping roof. Perhaps if that was abutted by a sloping roof going in the other direction, it could appear less destracting.
  • mantis%s's Photo
I like the longer bit of sloping roof - it adds more dimension to it for me, as if it's a more compound roof. I really like it all, anyway, except the glitchy path, which isn't really your fault.

Emergo - I think the point is that you get that amount of filesize from detail in scenery...I don't know if anyone's ever hit the LL sprite limit, but this looks to be a park that will have the most stuff in it aside from peeps, since...ever, I suppose. I'd have thought that might be obvious?

Good job, Fatha'. Sorry i've been out of contact, but seeing as i'm back from holiday i'll hopefully be able to comment more etc.

I love it. Excellent work. It's great how you use so many hacks that aren't that noticable but add to the atmosphere so much. This screen is no exception. Awesome stuff. This is by far my most anticipated LL park (that I know of)

i think that the berry pots which are not ontop of the cafe are good; the others should go.

Update 35 - BGSS Info + Only Aruba Screen

    -

BGSS, when finished, should be the only non-peepable LL park that will challenge MalaWorld's size (Unless there is another I missed).  Just a interesting and some food for thought.

    Enjoy.

What interesting thoughts are we supposed to have about that then? Or, more interesting, what interesting thoughts do [I]you[I] cherish about it?? "bigger is better???", like Mc Donalds or so???
Please explain what is the challenge and food for thought? ??? (yours?)

    Mantis probably explained it best.

Here are the thoughts I get when looking at this screen.

Keep the flowers yellow. I love the martian objects. Nice roof. Needs some scrolling signs? Lose the cauldrons on the overhang bit.

    This is incredible.

    Hates: the cauldrons
    Loves: The rest

That roofline is just so pretty. I don't know why but I love it so, please don't change it and make it boring.

Update 40 - Acancounga: Canyon Runner gets major track adjustments and landscaping changes

Today was a good day for my little invert....and its kind of funny that RCT screwed up its initial intensity only for me to solve it now (all while making it a better ride). Basically I revised some portions of the layout and solved the big intensity problem (Which ended up being the final corkscrew). Anyways, new additions:

    - Revision of the first Wrap-around Immelman, which now exits higher and dives around and then into a mountain peak. It also "rides" up the mountain peak during the looping portion of the Immelman (think Dueling Dragon's "Ice" encounter with the castle wall during Cobra Roll).
    - New 14 height marker drop added, which is straight and leads into loop. Is negotiated after the coaster train rises above a secondary mountain peak (connected with a new mountain peak directly under and to the right of the lift), then dives down into the canyonside adjacent to the lake separating Machu Picchu and Andes Village). The train reaches its second highest speed of 58 mph (highest speed is now 59 mph).
    - Brake at the top of the lift has been lessened, and allows the train to reach 59-60 mph at bottom of drop.
    - New helix as been added.
    - Final corkscrew is raised one height level, and then dives into a canyon valley directly under a high queue bridge.

New stats are 9.92 8.84 8.17, and track length is pretty much still the same (4300 ft). EXC might raise to 9 in the end when theming is complete. Yall are gonna like this ride, and youll like it even more if youve seen it already. Enjoy.

Secondly, concerning Andes Village. It will become significantly smaller now to make room for a 9th and final area, Camp Portugal. Im deleting about 5-6 buildings and will leave only a corridor of buildings (like one straightish path, and buildings surrounding it). This freed space should leave enough room for a decent sized Portuguese area and an adventure ride.

I still can't work out how you manage to fit so many areas (of a decent size) into one park! It's amazing, especially when they are all of such quality.

Looks absolutely fantastic, probably the best LL thing I've seen here for quite a while. Really nice.
  • GigaForce%s's Photo
Mantis, my guess is it'll be much like his other Disney's Movie Magic park there, decent sized areas, but small enough.

BTW Fatha, I like those cauldrons...it gives sort of the "themed restaurant" feel to it, especially the ones on the roof. I say keep them, but maybe add some brush next to the ones on the roof so they fit better?

    Great screen tho.

Yes DMM is the closest thing you can compare BGSS to layout wise, but BGSS isnt as cramped as DMM and has some good separating lanscaping features and whatnot to split the areas apart. And unlike DMM mostly all the areas in BGSS are similar in size (El Dorado and Galapagos being the biguns). And as far as quality in theming there isnt a comparisons between the two.

Anyways, im off to SC so no updates likely for a while cuz ill be busy hanging out and shit.....keep it real everyone.

A late reaction, but have hardly been around here lately.

Yes, Mantis I know how you get that amount of filesize  I already hit the limit on the first park I was exercising this RTC2 game on: 256 x 256 and packed and stacked to the brim. No idea what happened when I could not place anymore objects and rides!! So, full of detail it certainly was. But if it was beautiful? No, it was horrible :D . No problem, it was just to get acqaintanced with the game. But it illustrates what I was trying to ask/explain: bigger filesize is not automatically the same as "more beautiful". So I asked this question as it sounded that someone was proud of the quantity ("bigger than Mala") instead of the quality, which highly surprised me. That is why I asked the person who said this for his/her own thoughts about it, in case I misinterpreted the "boasting on filesize".

For, though I have next to none experience with LL, this park absolutely looks very beautiful and of very high quality , so no boasting on filesize needed. (after all, in this way this remark gave me the asked-for "food for thoughts!" ;)
