Yeah. I'm really sad. Now, if the BoSox play the Yankees, I'll REALLY not know who to root for... prolly the Sox, cuz at least we can say we lost to the eventual World Series team. -

I love my Braves.Because my true team the Cubs choked I now must root for the Braves. I'll be at Game 1&2 for the NLDS, hopefully they can beat those fucking Astros.

Great read.
I'm so happy for Terry Francono, especially after all the medical problems (his heart especially) he's had over the years. My dad actually operated on him before he went to Boston. He certainly deserves a pennent this year, just as the team obviously does.
Go SOX! -

I went to both Braves games, and was sadly reminded of how much Braves' fans suck. The crowd was dead until the 8th inning yesterday. It was really a good game yesterday. -

Kai has no shame.
Anyway.
David Ortiz is my homeboy.
Listen to Berman and Gwynn and Sutcliffe in the 8th whining about taking out Ortiz in favor of Roberts or someone else who could run...right, sure guys. That's why you're in the booth. As for why they were the most biased announcers toward the West I've ever heard, I can't figure out.
Okay the point is, we won. Time to go drink and be merry!
PS- Sorry Corky. -

Move to Red Sox Nation!
Also, nice to see the always-great "Yankees Suck" chant has made it to Minnesota, alongside Homer Hankies and the big bag thing in right field. -

Yeah, the game was great. Until the 4th inning, I think, we got totally screwed with a tie, making it 6-6. I totally lost all hope, until we went into the tenth inning.
Really a good game. If we lost like that, though, Boston would probably be in pieces by now. Atleast in Fenway's general area. -

Corky, I bet your dodgers will beat matt morris, he's been sucking it up as of late. But that's it. We'll cream you into oblivion in game 4 like the first 2 games. -

Matt Morris has the second lowest Division Series ERA in MLB history.
I still have hope the Dodgers come back, but if not, there's always the Lakers...
Wait a moment... -

Well, well, well... We got 2 bull crap calls on one play, one where Lima hit the ball twice, and the second when Matheney tried to throw out the guy at 2nd afterward. I don't think that would have made much of a difference, because Lima was unstoppable, though it would have looked much better on Morris's stat sheet.
Oh well, I see it as this. The Cardinals would rather face the Braves in the next series, and the one of the keys for the Astro's is Clemens. Had the Cardinals won, Clemens would have gotten about 6 more hours rest because the game would have been a night game. Hopefully it all works out.... -

Where did this whole "west versus east" thing come from? What the hell is this, the NFL? -

Not sure what you're talking about, Micool, but I LOVE JOSE LIMA!!!
That was amazing what he did tonight, shuttind down the Cardinal offense for the ENTIRE GAME. You can't help but love this guy, who was a WALK ON at Spring Training, fought for a spot, and has emerged as the team's soul/cheerleader/emotional leader/ace/current postseason savior.
I'd love for this to go to five. Finally, LA gets a baseball postseason win after 16 years!
