FINALLY!
its been a long time coming. last nights celebration in kenmore square was amazing, THOUSANDS of people, lots of police, and some beer. id say it was better than the pats parade. THIS IS OUR YEAR.

Signs that the 'curse' is coming to an end....

1) 1 run down, bottom of 9th facing Rivera with series on the line....Sox win.

2) 10 hours and 26 innings of baseball in two days with no room for error....Sox win twice.

3) A-Rod, the player the Sox get scooped by the Yankees yet again on, for the most part is a non-factor when it really mattered

4) Game 6...two overturned calls that 10 years ago, the umps would never have really even discussed the play on. Result 3 run homer and the death of the Yankees last attempt at a rally in the series. Sox win.

5) Schilling, the guy they got to be a Yankee killer looked gone for the season after game one. Wait, let's try a medical procedure that we made up and see if we can't get him on the mound one more time. Result, 7 innings, 1 run, Sox win.

6) Keith Foulke, the guy they get to shut the Yankees down at the end of games does his job! Result...Sox win games 4, 5, and 6.

7) Coaching and managerial errors that normally cost the Sox dearly are overcome easily. Johnny Damon is foolishly sent home in the first inning...Ortiz hits next pitch yard. Francona decides to pitch Pedro when he has no reason to giving the Yankee crowd one last lift and potentially screwing up his rotation for the series...Sox still win.

Lowe, a guy who has NEVER pitched worth a lick at Yankee Stadium, throws 1 hit ball over six innings....Sox win.

9) Red Sox beloved Nomar is traded away for defense in Cabrera and that M. guy...Cabrera is flawless in the field (especially in game 7) and stellar at the plate as well, the other guy makes his share of late inning plays as well and the Sox make 1 error in the series (correct me if I'm wrong on that)...once again, Sox win.

10) 3-0 down...nuff said.

I laughed so hard when the Yankees lost. Now if only the Cardinals can pull a win tonight.

Yeah... all St. Louis has to do is win one game in Boston, though, and this series is over. The Cards don't lose at home.

In any case, at least the Angels and Dodgers lost to the teams that are going to the Series. That's better than losing to teams that lost to the teams that went to the World Series.
