So it's all official now. We have eight teams in playing for one championship. Here are the quick brackets:

AL
Yankees vs Twins
Angels vs Red Sox

NL
Cardinals vs Dodgers
Braves vs Astros


There are a TON of little side stories:
- Possible Freeway World Series between Dodgers and Angels
- Possible Red Sox/Yankees ALCS
- The resurgent, Cinderella Astros back in the playoffs, with Clemens leading the helm
- The dominant Cardinals (sans last week) possibly winning it all
- The surprising Braves getting back to October, but will they get over that playoff hump?
- The Twins. I mean Johan Santana.

Because my true team the Cubs choked I now must root for the Braves. I'll be at Game 1&2 for the NLDS, hopefully they can beat those fucking Astros.

I live in Atlanta now after moving here last year from Chicago. It would make sense to root for the Braves now.

Yeah, my interest in all things baseball plummeted on "black Saturday" (it just doesn't have the same ring does it?) when both Nor Cal teams were knocked out of the playoffs. Who will win? Honestly I couldn't care less. But if I've got to pick a favorite, go Twins. I have no reason to dislike them. And the NL? Nope, don't like any of those four. Minnesota all the way.

I'm pulling for the Twins as well, Ed. I truely hope they can over ride NY and sneek into the World Series, this time around. As of now, though, they just barely lost to the Yankees making their Playoff Reacord 1-1.

Fucking Red Sox.
