I'm really excited about this. This little project is nothing special, however. Remember- this is the demo. I have always built for the peeps, but I was never the only one. There was joe Holland, Gregg Reese, Greg Moore (who is lurking at the official site) and many others. I may have changed the face of RCT 2 with RoB, but I was very late with it, the effects of RoB on the community were minimal, at best. The perspective of this game is perfect for your style, for you always build for the peep that would be in this park, not the viewer from atop, and we can now be a peep in the park with the 3d graphic system. Great job as always, seems like you'll now have a hand in setting the trends for all three games.
I feel, with my reputation, and the way I have been making parks for so long, that it is partly my responsiblity to stand up and take this game to the limit, and show people what can be done. That's why I am making this, to set an example. It's really just a huge sacrifice to the RCT gods, I mean, I can never save this. It's still open on my taskbar. I'm doing this, not only to practice, but to demonstrate the possibilities.
I have a feeling we may be seeing something from Foozy pretty soon. We'll see.
I feel like if I show some people who are questioning RCT 3 what you can really do, they might be inclined to make parks, and we'll help the community. I'm not the only one who can do this though, there's Corky, there's RR, and theres DF, and Slob. We need to get together as a community and bring this shiz back to life!
I'll post some more screens in a little while, when I stop watching football and actually play.
For the record, I plan to have an RCT 3 park release ready in time to present it as a Christmas present to all of you. -

Sorry man, my video card is on the fritz, and I have a friend getting me a new one, (6800 ultra 256mb!) but I really cant predict when it'll be in my hands.
I love the overhead, and the from-station view, really make it feel alive. -

Hm... I'd kinda sum up you right now as awesome coasters, average architecture.
I would say right now that your space seems to static. The buildings seem a little too boxy and plain. Instead, I'd add a bit of color, but more importantly, try to create overhangs or bridges over the paths. Some flowers or water features might be cool. Also, maybe add some nature trails down to the ravine area, so that people can go off and interact with the woody even more.
Make some shops or restaurants, add more rides, and perhaps landscape the pathed areas some more? That last one is a bit optional. -

I think that you misunderstand the architecture, Corky. I know that you're an architecture major at a very nice school, but everything has a form and function, and the buildings in this park serve their purpose. What I am doing is playing with the scenery trying to find a niche that I am comfortable in. The buildings may get more complicated as I move along, but what for? It is a small, family owned amusement park somewhere in western Pennsylvania. They aren't going to be worried about what the building looks like, as long as they sell the funnel cakes. When I hit up a more ambitious park project, I will be building things that are far more complicated, but at this point, I am not satisfied with the game options and I'm probably going to need a trainer before I start doing any overhangs or bridges, because you cant build fences on the same tiles as paths. That's a big deal to me. -

Actually, if you say Pennsylvania, then the architecture's perfect. So nevermind what I said.I think that you misunderstand the architecture, Corky. Hey, I don't even know if you guys are interested in this project or whatever, but I'm really starting to make progress and it's really starting to look good.
A couple of these screens can give you some insight as to how the game is going to look when used in a parkmaking manner. There's a couple screens that are filled with buildings, it's definately interesting to look at. It demonstrates what I have been talking about in other threads about how the game is going to force a new architecture style.

The picture Titan highlighted is brilliant. It really looks great.
You need to add some lamps and benches to the mainstreet, but apart from that, it's a wonderful start to a wonderful game.
EDIT - damn powercuts... hard luck dude. Go again!
