HAPPY RCT DAY!
I wasn't gonna show this until I was done with it but in the spirit of Rct Day I will show you what I have done so far. I'll probably post more screens tonight after I work on it some more.
Hydra The Revenge is Dorney Park's new coaster for 2005. I got the idea to recreate it in Rct 2 when my friend told me he was recreating Hydra in No Limits. Here are the 2 screens of what I got done.
Here is the Cobra Roll, JoJo Roll(The Barrel Roll but it is really called a JoJo Roll in real life. Weird name for a inversion if you ask me.), and the Corkscrew(I made it a Barrel Roll because the hill, Cork, hill looks ugly and the one in real life is huge, bigger than your normal Corkscrew, so that is all that would work.).
Here is an overview of what I have done. The red tiles are were the original supports used to be. The red tiles will make putting in the custom supports easier.
Enjoy! Any comments or suggustions are appreciated.
Edit: OPPS! Forgot to give you guys the link to the website for this coaster.

The custom supports and coaster colours are excellent. Overall, a nice recreation. -

"Jojo roll" is a term the park is using, it was named after a member of the Dorney Park maintenance staff.
It's still your average B&M inline twist, though. No official special name for it.
It looks to be a pretty nice recreation of it.
Although, I have a hard time figuring out what you did with the inclined dive loop? The image is blurred because you shrunk the overview. -

A Jojo roll is different from a barrel roll. The Jojo roll ends at a lower point than at the beginning. Like from 45 ft. to maybe 40 ft. -

Here is a close up of the Inclined Dive Loop.

As you can see I had to modify the Inclined Dive Loop cause Rct 2 doesn't have one.
Thanx for the comments so far! More is welcome. -

You're right, I was wondering where it was too, though I do see that there is some weird parts."Jojo roll" is a term the park is using, it was named after a member of the Dorney Park maintenance staff.

Shouldn't there be some sort of diagonal in there?
In the video, the train swoops to the right and then to the left into the dive loop.
I think a dive loop could be managed out of that. -

I'll try making a Dive Loop with drop to the left but if it doesn't look good then that is what I'm gonna stick with. What is this diagonal you speak of?Shouldn't there be some sort of diagonal in there?

^If yours is better, than post it for download. Don't just disparage his version without putting yours up for judging too.

Titan: I am going to try out a real Dive Loop instead of a turn. -

Your layout is terribly inaccurate.
1. There's a corkscrew before the cobra roll
2. You have a B&M dip. Hydra does not have one.
3. Your supports are too thick on the Jojo roll.
4. The drop turns at the bottom around 45 degrees into the inclined dive loop.
5. Supports should be teal, the track is all the same color (lime green), not lime track green and dark green rails, just lime green track.
6.Your supports are not accurate on the cobra roll.
I think you know about the corkscrew, but with how the video is you can just put it up higher in the air.
Do some research before you make a recreation!
I've been playing No Limits too much, that video pumps to hell and has a ton of jerks. -

Atleast read. I would post mine, but it seems like a waste. Go ahead and finish your's rctfan. -

I think this is some of your best work, and I like the ways in which you improvised to get the more unusual elements that B&M seems to be building as of late included in this design. I would suggst to however take a look at the cobra roll supports in the video/computer animated pics (which were probably done by Keith McVeen who did the one for Talon on DP's official site) and you'll see what needs to be fixed. I agree with John about the turn after the first drop, and I think it should go diagonally to the right and then make what you will there. I wouldn't use a regular dive loop with the vertical twist for this one because the drop isn't that big and the train wouldn't make it, and the diveloop that is most commonly used in the game wouldn't fit this at all. If I were to make an incline loop, I wouldn't use a large loop but instead make it more of an diagonal helix because that's what it is more like in real life.
We'll see how my upcoming guess-recreation of Hydra will compare to yours, but still good job. -

I stop reading there. Honestly.and the Corkscrew(I made it a Barrel Roll because the hill, Cork, hill looks ugly and the one in real life is huge, bigger than your normal Corkscrew, so that is all that would work.).
Ridiculous. You don't sacrifice realism for looks, especially in a recreation. -

I have to redo the whole layout except for the cobra roll to be able to theme the station correctly and get the lift supports up. I'm not sure what you mean by a diagonal helix. I tried making a diagonal turn after the first drop and making the rest of the element and it just came out too big and not what it should be. Is there somthing I'm doing wrong?I think this is some of your best work, and I like the ways in which you improvised to get the more unusual elements that B&M seems to be building as of late included in this design. Thanx for the suggustions and comments Phatage. I'll definetly use them when I am building this. I look forward to seeing your recreation of this coaster.
Gir: Ok the looks thing was pretty stupid. That is still the only way it will work cause I'm pretty sure that if I did do a hill, cork, hill, that the g's would be very high and/or the train would either not make it through or it wouldn't make it through the cobra roll after this element. I'm just gonna keep it the way it is.
More to come soon. -

Well here is 1 of my 2 Christmas gifts to NE.
1st up, an update on my Hydra recreation.
Overview of what is done so far.
The layout is pretty much the same as last time but with a few changes.
Overview of station and queue
Since I don't have a logo in the game I used the 3D signs and put them on stone, grey, blocks to represent the rocks under the logo.
Here is the real life logo: http://www.dorneypar...ra_Sign_800.jpg
Enjoy. Comments, etc. always welcome.
