Point of movies like these is to experiance thier beauty on the bigscreen.

Nazi movie theatres like to over-price.

I loved the movie! It felt much like an Indiana Jones flick with all the leather and Nazi's. I am thinking of going again, it was that good. Although I wanted to drop kick Paltro, she stunk until Jude Law's character was introduced. It took his role to make her interesting. Top notch visuals, good acting, and good music--- I give it 4 stars out of 5.

At first, I thought the movie looked super corny. Then I saw the full previews and I think it looks incredible. It kinda looks to have that classic Victorian sci-fi feel to it like a Jules Verne novel. No one but me wants to see it though so I will have to go alone. :'(

    this movie. was awesome.

Sky Captain's plane is like the Batmobile. except with wings.
it is so stylistic, let me tell you. there's a freakin' "O-Gun" in it!

    pure awesome.

    It was pretty amazing.
I really felt it lacked in plot, but what can you do.

I recommend it just because its so stylistic.

    WARNING:SPOILERS AHEAD

    "Lenscapper."

    Funniest. End. Line. Ever.
The whole theater cracked up. Awesome movie. Had that IndyJones feel to it as well as a classic adventure movie feel.
The part where Jude Law's character finds a dead Totenkoff and his last journal entry is "Forgive me" is hillarious. A man with a wish to renew mankind and is moments away from comepleting the plan and writes his last journal entry as "Forgive me"? Most ironic moment ever. :p
The mysterious woman wasn't as kickass as I thought. I was like "Go figure" when I say she was a robot herself. Pretty obvious. If she was like the TX and talked like a REAL HUMAN BEING then maybe it would be more of a shock.

Heheh. A solid 4outof5 film. I am going to see this kickass film again.

    SOME SPOILERS

hey, i just saw it like about 3 hours ago.

not bad really, my favorite scene is the machines walking in city. a couple of things were a little odd to me though

    1. their was like only ONE freaking pilot in the airforce? where was everyone? in Korea (Korean War)?
    2. the woman consistently stated the obvious (everything in the room is screwed up) "Someone has been in here" no shit? do you think?
    3. Hollywood-sh neck of time situation, Dex shows up to save them all in the volcano.
    4. the woman basically plays the role of "I can't stop fucking lying and touching buttons that are in gibberish"

yeah, i loved the two parts "You should of let me gone back for that camera" "year, your right" (you'lll know by the scene). and the whole "lenscapper" was great also.

basically i thought it was good, in essence i thought it was more or less like a big comic books, going from Giant robots, to flying robots, to jungle monsters, to Dr. Evil lairs, to saving the world right before 1 second is up.

    3 out of 5 i'd give it.

Hollywood film in the year 1950.

It only pulled 16 million, that's pretty sad.

Well I'm assuming it will become a cult classic then.

The trick will be to see what it pulls next week. I have a feeling this will be one of those "hey, you gotta go see this film!" kind of deals. The early previews hurt this movie, it just looked so cheesy, but with the effects fully realized it looks much better.

Sounds like The Forgotten beat it this week. Dunno how well it did tho...

I saw it today, and it's very enjoyable movie. There's not too much drama, and in some scenes where they could have really built up a scary, suspenseful moment, it's like they chose not to. Everything happens pretty conveniently, and there's never really any worrying for the characters, but still, it's a nice movie. Stylistically, the art direction is stunning. The movie itself is one of those "watch and enjoy it" types. Don't think about it too much.

3 1/4 stars out of 5, though that rating is probably more misleading, since it's really a nice movie.
