does anyone else think this movie will kick total ass? after reading up on it, i found that it is about 90% CGI. the only things that are "real" are the live actors and some minor props. all the sets are computer generated, which is completely awesome as most of it looks pretty realistic.
this was done to ensure that it had an "old look" and to keep costs down.
anyway, i have adopted it as my new theme for my sig and avatar. -

Seriously though, ECC and Glory, go find a few of your friends and have a circle jerk instead of leaving stupid comments.
Sky Captain looks like a really great movie. Can't wait. -

It looks a little too fake, but I said the same about I Robot and ended up enjoying it. I'll give it a shot. -

I want to see, don't know if i will be able to see it.
really looking forward to it though. it looks fake, sorta corny and liberl-like (all girl marine corp group) new world stuff. BUT it does look like fun though, and thats all that matters. its especially better then that other movie GoldDiggers- Ie stupid. -

I really like your avatar and sig Ty. Nice stuff.
Anyways...
Sky Captain looks like a really cool movie. The effects, and just the look of it draw me in. It's a must see. -

Nice Guradian, because when you say new world you don't know the movie is set in 1929. -

umm.. try to consider that the movie title is after all "World of Tomarrow" and despite the fact that it IS like 1929, its supposed to be like the future for them. thats all. I'll try seeing it though. -

well, it is supposed to be like an old serial, which had titles like that.umm.. try to consider that the movie title is after all "World of Tomarrow" and despite the fact that it IS like 1929, its supposed to be like the future for them. thats all. I'll try seeing it though.
it will all make sense upon viewing. -

I love that old style sci-fi graphics on the movie. The look is just visually stunning, and though the plot might not be good (I'm not sure... just heard stuff), I definitely am looking forward to this movie. -

I too am looking forward to seeing it, if I can get out that is. The title definately has a serial (read: sequels) feel to it, something I wasn't focusing on when I saw the trailer eons ago (can't remember if it was before ROTK or Azkaban). Anyway, the graphics look interesting, and the general premise (which is a still a bit in the mist for me) seems interesting enough, so I just hope they have a storyline to match it.
I dunno how it would compare to other adventure/sci-fi series in the long run, but then again, things like The Mummy and Pirates of the Caribbean actually surprised me.

Hello.
The director is going to blow up soon...
She is ridic.
Plus I heard 1 dude did all of the CGI by himself...
I also saw this movie last week, and it'd definitely worth $9.

I can't help but thinking Raven makes some stuff up.
Anyways, Kai, it came out when ROTK came out. -

It looks like a very cool visually. Storyline wise it seems impossable but very cool.
I may rent in when it comes out on DVD. Might even see it soon but I just can't get meself into a story that looks so wacky.
Could be interesting and the effects could be even more stunning.
