hey, for my dorm. i guess i'm just gonna say it. I have a bare wall. and i'm looking into something to place up. and i've thought of something. and maybe if you guys agree it'd be cool to do.
Have the time's of nations on the wall specifically 6 but i only have 4 right now. i've gotten 4 different looking wall-clocks, cheap kinds mind you. and i've printed off flags (relatively good sizes) to stick right under the clock. the time's i have are
USA (Central Time)
Saudi Arabia - Riyadh
Spain - Madrid
Japan - Tokyo
Any other ideas i could put up? i don't know, i just thought it'd be cool to have clocks of nations going on right now. do you know if their perhaps any cheap digital clocks? so atleast it says PM or AM. and maybe even perhaps date.
I'm just thinking. -

I love Madrid, over London. anyday. i like to call it that.
and thats the truth.
I think for my last one i'll use India - Bombay what you guys think? or maybe Nepal- Katmandu -

wait a sec.. your all from the UK, no wonder...
umm.. but isn't Madrid and London in the same time zone anyways? -

Go with Madrid. London may be more 'globally' important but you've already explained your affinity to Spain so you might as well put something on your wall you're going to enjoy. What about Tibet? You mentioned Nepal, and Tibet is very close to that and a little more noteworthy. Sounds like a good idea by the way. Decorative, and effective. Not to mention relatively inexpensive. Good thinking. -

well I thought it up, because it would set me apart from all the other roommates. I have a Soviet Flag draped over my (above me) desk. I got a hot babe poster ofcourse, a Day After Tomarrow poster (hey, it was free okay?) and the clock idea i'm gonna do. I don't have the clocks per say, but i am looking for any cheap digital clocks or atleast a clock that will tell me PM or AM.
I'm thinking about Tibet though. thats a cool idea.
so far i AM gonna do is
USA (Central Time) Milwaukee
Saudi Arabia - Riyadh
Spain - Madrid
i might do Japan, or maybe South Korea, or maybe China don't know one of the three. most likely Japan or Korea over China.
I am at a tie though between choosing Tibet or Katmandu as my last clock time.
I have space for one (did the measuring) more clock, to complete the look. but i don't know what that nation should be, and i'm not looking for something that is like an hour difference between any of the nation times i was saying. that' d be including London then, and Mexico City (I have friends in both cities). hmm.. maybe... Peru? or South Africa?
i don't know i'll let you guys decide my last world-time clock. just leave the nation and city you'd guys like to me to put up.
p.s. when its all done, i'll send a pic of my dorm. and (drum roll.) me. a new one. -

should have gotten all identical clocks, and you should do london time... half the people on NE are from England and if you have London time on there, you will know what time it is for your fellow NE-ers... -

I think that's a tragic waste of wall-space but if it's what you want then go for it. I'd hate having so many clocks all ticking and reminding me of time's inexorable march towards death.
I'd go with posters, and maybe a mural/graffiti. -

Maybe if you're Edgar Allen Poe. Or it could remind you that a second is still a second no matter where you live. That the fate of people in other nations is connected to our own. And that life may be finite, but every moment within it is a vast wellspring of opportunities. Which it represents may depend on how much alchohol you've been drinking. Or shrooms. Can't forget the shrooms.I think that's a tragic waste of wall-space but if it's what you want then go for it. Or it could remind you of the time you had a blank wall and you needed to put something there. Yeah, that.Maybe if you're Edgar Allen Poe. if you want cheap clocks, just go to a local mass-chain store like Target
and, as for a time, I suggest:
Hong Kong, China
Reykjavik, Iceland
Helsinki, Finland
or even, perhaps, Kiev, Ukraine
