Ask the Experts / no cd

so when i first installed rct2 i downloaded the no cd patch so i wouldnt have to keep the cd in my computer. so i played like this for about a year. then i got a bunch of viruses on my computer so i wanted to reinstall everything. i backed up all my rct files onto my brothers computer. and now that ive reinstalled everything, i wanted to get rct back, but now i lost the cd. i have the whole infogrames folder saved, but i dont have the cd. is there anyway i can reinstall the game?

It might me possible, but it probably is quite tricky. First you'll need to copy the whole folder back onto your computer were you want it on. Now comes the most tricky part: you'll have to add something to the registry. Mind that that is very dangerous if your not know what you're doing. You'll need to add the registry key. If you can do that succesfully then you have to download a no-cd crack. You'll probably need to edit the registry, but I'm not certain if you have to, if you use a crack. Try the crack first (make a back-up from the original rct2.exe first) and see of it works (try multiple cracks if the first one doesn't work first). Otherwise I'll try to help you adding your registry key.

Sorry mate, but you need the original CD. I just had to buy a new copy, because this exact thing happened to me. Sorry.
