Well, to restart things a bit, last nite was football nite in MLB.

Some freaky high scores if you ask me.

the pirates vs cubs game just ended, how sick?
pirates had an amazing 9th inning comeback, well kind of. the first 7 innings were scoreless, then the cubbies got a run in the bottom of the 8th, and then right after that chris styne picked up an rbi to tie it up. and then craig wilson, clutch as always sent styne home with an rbi of his own. and then in the bottom of the 9th jose mesa kept the cubs scoreless. really good game to have watched. i love the pirates

Because the Lakers, Dodgers, and Angels have all been struggling lately, and the Yankees are the best team in the MLB.

Ah, but there is good news Cork. The A's are now in first place in the AL west after dessimating the Reds for three straight games. The olives are fresh, the grapes are ready for picking, and Zeus sits atop his throne on Mount Olympus. All is right in the world.

Isn't a shame that the grey clouds move over someone else's house when the sun comes out over yours? That's the one thing I really don't like about sports or games of any kind. Well I've got some sunshine for the time being so I'll try to make the most of it.

w/e i wasnt talking about chicago. i like the pirates more anyway, i was just saying it was a really good game, it was a good come back, fun to watch

so the pirates finally snapped the 9 game losing streak last night. if they had a better bullpen theyd be a really good team. theyre able to score runs consistantly, but their pitchers give up too many to their opponents. the wilsons, ward, mackowiak, stynes... theyre all coming through. craig wilson especially, he was putting up good numbers even during the losing streak.

what the fuck is happening? the drays won their last 9 games, and theyre currently playing number 10 and theyre up by 2. they suck though, this is a new franchise record.

and the astros have been losing left and right, wheres petitte?

Well hopefully the Astros can start winning some games after aquiring Carlos Beltran. They gave up Dotel though. They definately dont belong in fifth place.

Finally! A reliable closer! This is very good news.

Yeah definately something the A's need with more blown saves than saves.

Yeah, they had a great winning streak going on for awhile. I wish my team, the Astros, were doing as good. Hopefully this trade will help.
