And I wouldn't mind duplicating what Purdue did to Syracus (51-0 ass raping).  :)

    That's my team right there.

Next week they play my home school though...

EDIT: They played today lol... won 59-7 too. :D

Also, Boise St. destroyed Oregon St. like 51-34.  They should play LSU and beat them.  :D  So much for the Pac Ten being better... if the western OSU can get killed like that... 8@

To think the Beavers lead 14-0 at one point too... 8@

    Hooray for blue turf? ???

    Kai :huey:

We're getting close to repeating a Purdue... but dayam! Notre Dame beat Michigan!!!! WTF??? They lost to BYU last week too. ???

Also, UCLA was impressive. Which is amazing. They beat Illinois pretty well too.

It's a final: 49-0. We could have added another TD, but there was only 15 seconds left in the game, so might as well run the time out.

Georgia Tech just came up with a miracle win against Clemson.
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
No, Clemson just blew a last ditch play. If Ga Tech had scored the game winner at the last second, that would have been coming up with a miracle win. As it was, Clemson just played badly, and that is not a miracle.

Also, Nebraska and K-State were upset. And of course, the Wolverines lost while Ohio State won, so xxxxxxxxcoasterfreakxxxxxxxxxxx gets to gloat I suppose, and I can't really say anything about it.

Then again, a season is not one game, and this happened last year too (Michigan losing their road opener), but guess who ended up winning the Big 10? :D
  • coasterphil%s's Photo
They still had to get them to punt it in the first place.
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
Oly crap that was a huge scare! The Trojans, who had only given up 2 TD's in three games all season, gave up 4 in the first half (two of them which prolly never should have happened had the officials not been stoned), but closed the door in the second half.

    It wasn't pretty, but a win's a win.

    WHEW!!! Stupid trees.

If the Louisville-Tulane game wasn't PPD'ed, Louisville would be way higher in the polls now.
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
I'd ***love*** to hear your scientific reasoning for that prescient determination.

That USC game was interesting. I watched the first half. I am mad I missed the second though. I am glad they pulled it off.

    And...go Longhorns....

    And...go Longhorns....

    ...yes...Go Longhorns...Baylor's next...and then...you know who...
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
The team that destroys the Longhorns every year?
  • coasterfrk%s's Photo
    Go UW Huskies!!!

OK, so they stink...maybe, try and beat WSU at the Apple Cup. UW needs something positive this year...not to mention they need to make up for the Mariner's abysmal season this year...even if it's small.

Um, everyone can start cheering for the better teams now...

Oh, I have a quick question...wasn't the Rose Bowl (a while back) the bowl that determined the best NCAA football team in the country? If not, has it always been determined the way it is now?
  • VC15SA%s's Photo

    and then...you know who...

I got a feeling we might get them this year. Hopefully....

Purdue escaped... their offense rocks... just need to work on that D...

BTW, did that sportscenter guy call Orton the best QB in the country? ???

Oh, I have a quick question...wasn't the Rose Bowl (a while back) the bowl that determined the best NCAA football team in the country?  If not, has it always been determined the way it is now?

A quick question in bowl history...

The Rose Bowl traditionally has matched the Pac 10 and Big 10 champions. A very highly regarded bowl, it was one of the top bowls in the country and could arguable be said to determine the best team, though never officially.

This was before the BCS series began in like 1998.

Now, the BCS takes the "four most major bowls" (note the quotes)--the Sugar, Fiesta, Orange, and Rose Bowls, and alternates the championship game among the four. This year, the Orange Bowl will determine the BCS National Champ. Last year it was the Sugar Bowl. Next year, it will be the Rose Bowl, which also hosted the event in 2002.

Purists have often argued that the BCS destroys traditional highly anticipated matchups. For example, two years ago in 2003, the Orange Bowl received the matchup that would have traditionally held the Rose Bowl, USC vs Iowa (Pac 10 vs Big 10 champs). In fact, this past year's Rose Bowl was the first in a few years to actually have the traditional Big 10 vs Pac 10 matchup.

Nevertheless, it looks like the often controversial BCS is here to stay.

Yeah, sounds like I'm doing an advertisement... I dunno how that came about, but that's the history and explanation.

Oh God. How did NC State lose to UNC? Ok I'm depressed tonight.
  • coasterfrk%s's Photo
Woo-hoo!!! The Washington Huskies ACTUALLY won a game this season. Probably the only game they'll win too...I feel sorry for the San Jose St. fans. To say they lost to UW this year will probably be the most embarrasing thing for them.
