There might have been only one team with a worse offseason than the Trojans... the Lakers. The defending AP National Champs come in this season ranked #1 and with a huge target on their back. With Mike Williams ruled ineligible, Winston Justice suspended for brandishing a BB gun at another student, and Hershiel Dennis in trouble for his wannabe Kobe antics, the Trojans have taken a hit in many places, yet the fact that many still expect them to roll to an undefeated season is a testament to how good they are. They're not as deep this season in some areas, and it won't be easy going to the Orange Bowl, but it all starts this Saturday against 18 point underdog Virginia Tech, who've had their own troubles with star players (Marcus Vick).
Of course, LSU is back, as is Oklahoma. Georgia and the Floridian schools are powers, and the revamped divisions will make for some great matchups. Miami-Florida St. for the third time in a year guys?
Anyway, this is the place to trash talk, root for your team, and watch the Trojans march to victory and become the undisputed National Champs! -

Williams got screwed.
I still got to go for my Longhorns although losing Roy Williams will hurt them. I do not see them winning the Orange Bowl though. -

I can't wait for that UM FSU game, This year the canes have an awsome O led by Berlin, Gore, Tyron Moss, Rosco Parrish and Rayn Moore. however the D lost alot, mainly Taylor, that mite not be as strong as in the past but what the O will do is going to make up for it.
UM is my pick to take it all, shocking pick from me eh? -

I have no sympathy for Mike. Firstly, when Clarrett ditched, he said that he wasn't going to, that that sort of thing "wasn't for him." Then he leaves, knowing full well the risk. Then he's overruled, and he comes crawling back to the NCAA. And for that matter, he's also annoyingly arrogant as well as a total jock... meaning he's not too bright. Essentially, not an admirable person in my book.Williams got screwed.

The NCAA made the right decision; there are rules and they need to be reinforced, or else it sets a dangerous precedent.
Still, USC should be able to win. We can only beat ourselves, that's for sure. -

The NCAA has set a precedent of putting the student-athlete way down on the priority list.

What happened with Jeremy Bloom, rules or not, was just pathetic. -

Ok first off... Ohio State has never had a bad football team, EVER! That is the schools main sport. I dont know what you think you know about the team, but in reality you dont know very much. The buckeyes are coming into this season with good senior players that will light up the nation. I do not think that the Buckeyes will be the national champions this year but I can guaruntee a high bowl game (ie. Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl, or Sugar Bowl). So look at some history lessons and know that just because they dont have Clarret doesnt mean squat... look at last season. They had a whole team of power. Krenzil, Smith, Hawk, Gamble, I could go on for a long time but I think you get the picture.

I thought Virginia Tech was going to win that game for awhile. I was impressed with Randall (VT's quarterback). Of course USC pulled it out. -

Yeah, it was a bit of a surprise. We didn't play as well as we'd like and they were better than we expected. Hopefully, things get better from here, and the team can gel together. Also, hopefully Va Tech wins their conference.
GO TROJANS! FIGHT ON! -

LETS GO TECH!
I'll rooting for Georgia Tech, even though they have no chance in the new ACC.
