I know a dance to that song.
By the way, I am now looking forward to seeing that architecture in an RCT2 park, so you better build it! -

Loki's children:WME's Norse Mythology has a lot of potential. Think of it as a sort of dark Greek myth... I tried to utilize Norse mythology in my old Hampton Park Mega Resort, but I've not seen the theme done often. You can always play around with Ragnarok, which was their version of the apocalypse, where the struggle between Loki, the trickster god who caused the downfall of the Norse gods, battled Thor, Odin, and company in an epic that destroyed the earth. You can mess around with a ride based on his children (one was a wof named Fenrir, or Fenris depending on who you ask; there was this huge serpent who's name escapes me; and the third was some hag in charge of hell I think). This can give you an opportunity to play around with something more sinister.
1)Fenrir, the giant wolf.
2)Jormundgand, the world serpent
3) Hel, goddess of (oddly enough) Hell
You could probably do a coaster with a story on that one. A brave warrior battling Fenrir and his Elver (lesser), manages to fend Fenrir off only to be tossed into the sea and drowned by Jormundgand. However since he was as brave warrior in battling Fenrir, Reginleif (The chief Valkyrie) takes his soul and body into Valhalla, where he may forerver rest in peace, until the horn of Ragnarok is blown where he will emerge from the depths of Valhalla as an Einherjar.
You may want to Google some of those names. -

And since there are a lot of people saying, "copy this, copy that" i'd say if you are going to copy any themes from earlier parks, make it france from sakm. Though i'd personally rather you just go with completely new themes.
If you could create any kind of Valhalla, that would be amazingly nice. Think of this incredible large hall that looks like it could go on forever. Or maybe just make a "miniature" version of it and have it house a chairlift.
The original idea i had of just creating asgard would be enough though, otherwise it will be mighty hard to create anything small to look like asgard. -

Yes you did, I just explained what visions it gave me. Sorry for not giving you credit to begin with.Just for the record, I said Pompeii first.
That stuff that PBob is showing off looks pretty damn sweet too except it would be unbelievably complicated to build in rct2. I think Toon, Mala or X could do it since they have mad quater tile skills. If you can get it to look right SA go for it since it would be amazing.

Some themes that might be interesting...
A war theme... something like WWI or II, you might be able to do some interesting work with it...
Any kind of Haunted or horror theme would be interesting... It's a theme I don't feel is used enough or correctly for that matter...
I love that idea of a broken down town... like maybe a ghost town, or make up some kind of story as to how the people vanished years ago... I dunno, just some suggestions.
Anyways, Just another application...
I'll start with a little background on myself. Few actually know me, I released a couple small parks back on Danimation when LL had just been released. I've never been much of a poster at any message board, mostly because I like to enjoy what others accomplish rather than what I tell them to do. I guess you could consider me a lurker. However, in this situation it would be a great honor to be able to help you with your park. I did a lot of beta testing for mrICE, SPRules and towards the end of his stint here at NE I helped Hyper Helix out with a couple of projects that seemingly never went anywhere. I have a very keen attention to detail and would be able to help you out specifically with your coaster design, and ride area's more than anything. (though Im not too sure how much help you need with your ride design ) Anyways, I hope you will consider me as one of your new priests... even though, Im actually more like a new priest that has a lot of hands on experience.
Great idea by the way, never seen anyone take this sort of approach and actually follow through with it. -

No, you can't do that.A war theme... something like WWI or II, you might be able to do some interesting work with it...

Actually, Micool, he has a very good idea. Sorry, Psycho, I won't be using it in this park but I am able to easily imagine how I could do occupied France. Think the final battle scene from Saving Private Ryan.
Anyways, Psycho, do you remember me from danimation? -

i still don't think that war themes should be part of an amusement park. it's somewhat morally wrong. -

I hate to hang on the name, but to me Roots of Creation evokes something like an American Indian theme, earthy and natural. I think such a theme would be very nice in RCT2. -

Taking a little break from the themes here, I'd like to talk about screens here. On the Intamin Mega screen, I certainly hope that the long stretch of elevated straight track isn't eventually going to serve as a mid course brake run. Probably that and when people put double flatspins/wingovers on an B&M are the two most annoying things to me in rct, especially when the rest of the design is mostly realistic. I also hope that you are considering something along the lines of custom supports in this park, as I thought that may have been the thing that would have improved rob more than anything else. -

My fellow Texan is back I see.
But for the park, heres my biggest suggestion. Whatever you do, dont make it a flat park with no hills or landscaping. Now that i have played around with rct and the possibilities of landscaping, I realize how impressive a park can look and the level that lanscaping takes it too. Oh yeah, and also, make the park when your baked. -

Make an area centered around being trippy. Crazy colors, uneven floors, mind bogglingly weird shit that's only entertaining if your extremely stoned. A satirical area based on getting high. Twixt be funny. -

Okay, suggestions maintained. Here is my working list of themes as of yet:
Anceint Greece/ Aegean Coast
Pompeii
Ancient Arabian Marketplace
An un-named created hybrid theme will be the entrance area.
That is a brake run, btw. I'm going to get to work on the entrance area tonight -

Of course I remember you... I showed up at Dani shortly after the original Legends was released... At that particular time I was still very, very new to RCT. My work was still being done with single wide paths ::smacks head in shame::. Yea, but you were either banned or winning a spotlight back in those days. (Crystal Horizons remains my all time favorite park, the Drachen Fire inspired coaster still blows my mind.)
Anyways, back to adding to the discussion...
I absolutely love the idea of the marketplace, I can already picture the heavy detail and tightness of the whole thing. Bits and pieces of RoB actually reminded me somewhat of what I'd like to see... only much more elaborate.
Pompeii also has my interest piqued, while the Greek theme just doesn't scream anything exciting at me. I won't lie, I don't know too much about anything over that way, so my mind could easily be swayed, just saying its not something that jumps out at me.
Also... about the war theme, I don't feel its morally wrong. This arguement always seems to come up here and there, and I hate to drag it in again, but this is a video game. It's meant for entertainment purposes. And the idea of a battleground of sorts has a lot of artistic possibility to it, and it's something Im suprised has yet to be exploited. Bottom line, having a war theme would be no different then going to a famous fort or seeing a Civil War re-enactment... Same thing, its all for entertainment purposes. -

Your work is usually pretty realistic, making your parks seem more tangible and appealing not just to those who want looks but to feel as if they are in the park themselves. Maybe most people won't mind it, but there is no Intamin Mega coaster with an mcbr. The ones bought by SF were for lower attendance parks so they went with the cheaper Intamin hypers instead of B&M and also got less capacity with only two trains. One of the reasons why MF has a cable lift is to reduce the waiting time that a train can depart the station as well as space and height issues, because the ride runs three trains but with no mcbr as I guess Intamin would rather sacrifice capacity somewhat for a more flowing ride, although CP is very good with their loading times anyway. Basically what I'm requesting is that you take that out, or if somebody can show me a mega that has an mcbr and make me look stupid then go right ahead. That is a brake run, btw.

Alright SA, I'm glad you're willing to let me back on, in whatever capacity I'll have.
I think it was just a little misunderstanding, but either way I look forward to working with you...again.
Now, if I could only contact you on AIM. -

There's no behind the scenes. There's no "Ill talk to you on AIM," with this park. Everything is out in the open.
So SA what will solB get to do? -

I'm a bit late in here.. but I'd like to see something a bit different..
A lot of these themes have been doen to death; they can still look great, but I'd like something original.
A while ago, I asked for ideas and someone came up with the idea of a Seven Wonders Of The World park.. It was a great idea, although I never made it. It would look brilliant if you made The Colossus Of Rhodes, over the harbour. The Lighthouse of Alexandria would look great too; and would provide some interesting options for storylines. LINK
Also, this might seem a bit weird; and it's hard to describe. But some kind of semi-fantasy village with some cliffs going down to the sea, with some unique touches, like a twisting narrow staircase down, and a cave which a dragon lives in It'd be a kind of a cross between a fishing village theme and a whimsical fantasyland-style area. (Inspiration from Disneyland Paris's castle area - LINK
