I am gonna buy one here soon cause of these annoying popups I keep getting here and there just out of the blue. No spyware program I have tried and not even my Norton Systemworks Ppogram helps get rid of them.
I am currently trying out STOPZilla(the trial version) and it seems to work well like I wanted. Is there any other program better than this one that I should try?

    Any help is appreciated. Thanx.

    I use Mozzila. Comes with a built-in pop-up blocker.

They fuck up you're browser you know. I cant use anything which runs off java script since I downloaded stopzilla. Which is now uninstalled. If you want to stop spyware, I found that setting you're browser security to "custom block cookies" then block everything except from sites you trust, rather allowing cookies from sites the computer trusts.

Seriously, those programmes are good, but they block alot of useful things. And they can fuck your browser up over time.

I use Norton Internet Security. I dont get pop ups anymore. Blocks them all and I can still access Java pop-ups, i just have to refresh when I get to the page.

EDIT: Shite! Norton just intercepted some bastard trying to hack my comp from Korea. Anyone heard of Hanaro Telecom Inc.?

I use the built-in popup blocker that came with SP2 :)

I had a pop up blocker once, never did anything... and if anything, it just made things twenty times harder.

Google's pop-up blocker always fucked shit up, for me.
I use MSN Toolbar, now. Blocks less pop-ups, but also does not fuck shit up.

I didn't get that, it was too complicated. It didn't let me go anyware in my browser and basicly made using my computer 10 times harder.
I think I might reinstall STOPZilla cause I didn't seem to have a problem with it, then again I don't want it fucking up my browser if that is even true. Is it?

Btw, I'm not talking about popup's in my browser, I'm talking about ones that just come up out of the blue even when I'm not in my browser.
I have Fire Fox that comes with a built in one and for IE I use the Yahoo tool bar which works perfectly but those don't stop the ones that come up out of no where(probably from spyware that my 2 spyware programs can't get rid of) when I'm not using either of those browsers. My 2 spyware programs Ad-aware 6.0 and Spybot-S&D don't stop them from coming up.

I swear by Mozilla, but the Google toolbar is pretty good too. All I'd say is whatever you do, don't use more than one pop-up blocker; it will end in tears...

I use Mozilla Firefox 0.9. If you ever have problems running a site because of the popup blocker it's easy to temporarily disable.

Yup I have a popup problem too. Every time I sign into AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) 3 popups come up and take forever to go away. They fuck up my IE, and my ISP's browser. I want it blocked for good. Any way I can get into AIM without the popups?

    adaware + spybot.

Your best friends, they solve a lot of problems like that. If they dont work, i dont have any ideas.

    AdSubtract.

If you have an Adware promblem, then go with AdAware, it's free, and it helps tons for me. If it is just regular advertisemants, then Google.

Pop Up cop works well, you can change how much it blocks and you turn it off by 2 clicks of the mouse..Or use Mozilla Firefox like i do.
  • Halex%s's Photo
