Ugh..California is really fuckin up laws. I mean, SillyString! Best thing In Da World, man! I have no idea why the damned state would pass that law.
I'll let you in on something..New Jersey had a law once that you couldn't slurp soup. How's that for a fucked up law? -

Well, they clearly explain to you why it's dangerous.
1. It starts fights
2. It hurts marine life when it seeps into the oceans, being non-biodegradable and all
3. It's hard to clean up
Seems justified enough to me. Plus, it's only banned in one city on one night, if I read the article correctly... -

WTF..who would even have the time to ban silly string..and who would care to ban it? -

Because it's fun to have silly string fights.Silly string is worthless, why shouldn't it be banned?

There are plenty of stupid laws all over the place, you just have to find them. Don't make a generalization when it's clearly not one. If you read carefully, it's just the city of Los Angeles. And it's only on Halloween. Last time I checked, that does not constitute the entire state of California.
So before you make an ass out of yourself, maybe you should check your facts. Then you should realize that every state has stupid laws. -

[SARCASM]^Gee, I wonder why LA would have a ban on Silly String?[/SARCASM]
Haha. I mean, they made the law because people were stupid enough to LET IT into the ocean. -

California's credibility was already shot to hell last year when they banned hard drive manufacturers and service technicians with state contracts from using the terms "master" and "slave" when referring to hard drive configurations.
Those two terms are terribly offensive to some morons -er- people.
If ignorance is bliss, California has to be the happiest place in the world. -

I hate all these people who are all like, "OMG STUPID LAWS CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?"
Because most of the completely ridiculous laws aren't enforced and wouldn't be even if you pointed it out to the nearest Officer of the Law, and it's just a huge waste of time for everyone.
If you slurp your soup in New Jersey you will not be fined or arrested or executed. Trust me on this one.
