They had this one guy who did terribly on the parallel bars, which was really bad because the guy who'd gone before him and done brilliantly and it looked like they were going to stage a comeback Ah well, good on the Japanese, cos 4 years ago they were shite!

I'm looking forward to the final of the 4x200 freestyle. Oh and on that subject, that final was amazing! I thought Hoogenband was gonna get it but then Thorpe just came back so well. And also seeing that chinese woman win the 100 backstroke final from lane one was amazing - the commentator was like "oh and the three in the middle should be catching her from here on in" and then she kept going and she won!

And I wouldn't be complaining if people decided to post pictures of the beach volleyball players either

NBC decided that China deserved no time on TV... it was split between Japan, USA and Romania the entire time you really wouldn't have known there were five other teams competing. I guess that's what we get from coverage that isn't live.

It's a shame the swimming is coming to an end It's definitely the highlight of the games. BUT there's the individual gymnastics finals to look forward to, and the athletics too!
