I didn't know it was actually sailing. I thought it was just racing each other in yachts.
I knew sailing was actuall pretty hard.

    Has Phelps swam yet?

That's all I'll be watching...  history and technique.

I hope Krezelberg beats the shit out of Phelps, stupid bastard.
  • DarkRideExpert%s's Photo
Ian beat Phelps by a second in the semifinals. That dude from Russia kicks serious ass though, and he was first in finish time. I think Phelps could win, with the russian in 2nd, and the "Thorpedo" in 3rd.

    Hopefully. 8-)

which event is that? sounds like a freestyle one... but yeah, prelims don't mean anything... don't swim harder than you have to...
  • Annie Reckson%s's Photo
    I'm mostly focusing on:

Phelps, "Thorpedo", and van den Hoogenband, with the latter being simply amazing, I'm surprised I haven't heard more about him

US Gymnasts, for some reason I always watch gymnastics

US Women's Volleyball team, we started out really well, can't wait for more matches

    and...

The Iraqi soccer team, I'm really hoping they do well.

It should be "The Olympics ARE against my religion"

Type English correctly, it will do you a world of good. Plus you don't sound like an idiot.

Hey, how about you shut the fuck up? This isn't school.

You fucking piece of shit. I'm going to fucking bomb your house.

Actually, "Olympics" can be both plural or singular. See, "Olympics" can refer to the single large event going on right now; or it can refer to past Olympics, or the individual events themselves. Hence, "The Olympics is against my religion" is correct.

I pondered that actually, for a bit.

however, he didn't say that he specifically meant these particular Olympics, he just said "The Olympics" therefore the assumption is he meant the Olympics as a whole, which would be plural.

Hurrah for Venus Williams steamrolling her first round match against that Czink girl.

All I was getting at is that it could be right either way.

I'm so excited, Iraq beat Costa Rica 2-0, that was a tough match in the first half, the Iraqi team could of scored 3 times, but the Costa Ricans had a tough goalie, not necessarily defense. a good game hough

oh and the women sail racing was cool also. it seems a lot more cooler to watch in real-life then in the movies. and it was the first time i ever saw a collision, early on the race, when all the boats were together, Israel and Brazil capsized on each other, and Greece barely skimmed by them.

oh, and i loved the under-dog story of the USA dream Team, and Puerto Rico.

It seems to me the USA is not getting it easy here, South Africa beat the U.S. in the tag-swimming-race thing. which including Phelps on the US team.. U.S. getting Bronze in that thing, and just barely getting that also.

oh, and the Iranians backed out of Boxing, which was retarded, they replied " we stand in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people" well jeez, the Palestinians are IN the olympics for God's sake, not to mention would'nt it of been sorta nice that YOU fought the Israeli? that shows more solidarity then pussin out. jeez. I'm actually with Mudblood, go Israel, they deserve Gold after hearing this. i support palestinians, but this is ugh so retarded. go Israel! .... (says to self) " i just don't get them, what the hell is their problem even in the games."

Phelps = the Mark Spitz of 2004. He's an amazing swimmer. Wish I was that good. I wouldn't get a :58 in the fly leg of the 400 IM, that's for damn sure.
  • TheGuardian%s's Photo
i'm sorry, but i can't staring at the screen on my tv watching these gymnast girls, its so hard to NOT look when you see that suit start riding up their ass's not to mention just by running a few feat jump like 5 feet in the air spinning in ever which direction.
