Hey rcthelp, I feel what you're going through man. I really hope you guys manage to get the site back up and running and get past this, I know how hard something like this can be. Ignore anybody who posts flaming remarks, good luck with all this and if you ever need anything at all...my screen name is irisne24, give me a line. -

Hire MachChunk as your one-man tech crew. He'll fix everything up nice and good for ya.
Good luck with the site. Hopefully the entire site will be up soon. I enjoy browsing the forums once in awhile. -

ROFL. I really gotta post my satire rap "as" MachChunk.
Hire MachChunk as your one-man tech crew. He'll fix everything up nice and good for ya.The point was, on another RCT-related site, in an advertising forum, to advertise RCT2.com's problems. Without our own site, or mail, there is no other way we can let the RCT community know what's happening.
The problems are not board related (what do they use here?) they are hardware/network/MySQL/mail related. I suspect that another of the sites on the same server is just a 'spam machine' and it's overloading MySQL, mail and network.
At the same time, the host's tech support team seem to have gone on holiday. Together as far as I can tell.
For those that are vaguely interested, we've now got backups made ready for a server move. -

Or all of you could just move here and forget about rct2.A Two-Step Way to Fix Your Problem:
1. Move RCT2.com to another host, like F4U.
2. Convert to forums to vBulletin.
Although we've been having the same problem.

Are you sure you would really want that? NE isn't the best place for the RCT2.com noobs to start asking dumb questions. Too many of the NE regulars love the chance to flame noobs, especially on the dumb questions.Or all of you could just move here and forget about rct2.
Although we've been having the same problem.

Agreed, NE could use some of the better builders from RCT2.com, but most of them are already members here. And for the most part, they post on a semi-regular basis.... -

I don't know about you guys, but I think it's time to start a RollerCoaster Tycoon gang war. -

Na, RCT communities are meant to support each other to bring the best out of the game. I'm sounding sad now so i'll shut up. -

I agree. NE is NOT the place for newbs. I mean, I'm decent, a little less, by a 10th..but err..I can pump out something worth looking at and commenting about on ways to improve it.
With heavy hitters like Moon and some others, we could kick serious newb ass. -

I sent a PM to Sambo earlier today about the access problems and he said the are still constructing or reconstructing some parts of the forums. At times for the next couple days if you don't get in it means they restricted access briefly. Just check back a bit later. They are just fine. No worries
