Ask the Experts / Two problems

    Okay, so..

1] I am playing the Six Flags Great Adventures scenario that comes with the game, and I noticed the expertly designed station houses - AND the fact that none of them use elevated land. I get all excited, thinking, "Oh! Finally, I don't have to worry about raising terrain to build a freakin' house!" Yet, when I try to do such a thing, I cannot!

How would I be able to do this?

[PS - I've already got the SOB and 8 Cars per trainer[s], and I still haven't quite been able to figure out how to use the Stacking tools to my advantage. Yeah, maybe I'm a dumbass, but - help!]

2] I'm playing RCT1, and have just designed a brilliant hypercoaster. Maybe not brilliant, but decent anyway. I test it a couple times, find things I dislike about it/need to change, edit them, and then try and test it again.

    Then I get this message:

    "Can't test ____..
Cannot create enough cars to test the ride"

..uh, what the hell is that?

So yeah, any help is muchos appreciatos.

1] Use the shift button to stack.

    2] I don't play RCT1.

1] Indeed^, hold the shift key and you can rise the object (or drop below the surface, for that matter)
If you need to place more objects on the same height: place the first using the shift key, then press the Ctrl key and your cursor will be locked on that height.
(This can all be found in the game's manual, btw).

2] The only thing I can think of: Is your station long enough?

Unfortunately, I bought the game used, and don't have a manual. =\ On the plus side, it was $4.99, heh. Otherwise I wouldn't be so - uneducated - on the matter.

And yeah, my station is 12 pieces long - should be plenty enough.

    Dangit.

Try to rebuild the hyper. Maybe you just screwed it up with the trainer somehow.

I think it might be the trainer..

But I didn't change anything relating to rides at all using the trainer.

Now, I erased the hyper and tried to build an inverted one instead.

    And got the same problem.

Then I took a train off of my suspended coaster [that had been running for five years already], and tried to re-test it with one train with one car.. same problem.

So really, I have no idea what's going on here and it makes me want to cry. Or get mad. Or both.

You might have just fucked up the game itself. If it comes to it, just reinstall the game.
