Well you have a point I guess. It still sounds stupid to me since no one says that over here. Pluralized has a zzzzz sound at the end, so it uses a z.Well, it's mathematics.. so that shortens to maths.
Not math.
And pluralized should probably be pluralised, but Americans have some weird way of using z instead of s.. And taking out all our letters
Also, why do you say "brilliant"? Usually brits say it to an inanimate object which has no brain, so how could it be brilliant?
Wtf..? -

It has a zzzzzzzzz sound but should have an s. American English usually replaces the s with a z in words like that (standardised, modernised), whereas the correct English spelling is with the s, although lots of people use the z over here now.Well you have a point I guess. I'd prefer it if we just said "math," here.. Maths is too hard to say
And about the brilliant thing; I don't get what you're on about.. It just means good..
1. brilliant - of surpassing excellence; "a brilliant performance"; "a superb actor"
2. brilliant - having or marked by unusual and impressive intelligence; "some men dislike brainy women"; "a brilliant mind"; "a brilliant solution to the problem"
And it goes on to about 7..
Oh, and while I'm on my soapbox.. I HATE how Americans say the letter "a," in some words.. like "calm." Calm should just sound like "cam," - why do you say it "colm?"

don't get me wrong I'm very proud since I thought I was going to get a 3rd. I was just pointing out it would have been a better grade if I didn't bum around so much.
A 2.2's something to be proud of though! Congrats!i got a 2.2 in my illustration degree. i got the result about 2 months ago now tho. just thought i would share.
it would of been higher if i didn't mess my 2nd year up and leave all my work to the last few months of my third year. -

Riiiiiight. I hardly ever say 'brilliant' and i don't know anybody who over-uses it or uses it out of context.Yes, but Brits say brilliant all the fuking time and it is annoying.

And i definitely don't say 'caaaaaahhhm'. I say 'carm'. Like 'balm' is said 'barm', not 'bolm'. -

It's a silent L. Well, sort of, it makes it sound different. Like whistle. You don't go around saying 'wehistel', do you?And where the fuck does the r come from? English is a fucked up language.

Hi, my name is Frank, and I'd like to say I speak American... ?
Whatever... If they offer it in college, I'd like to take a corse that explains the evolution of the english language from its start to where it's used today. That would be very interesting. to me, at least. -

Shut the fuck up, Turtleman. The British are quite one of the coolest people ever. Plus they had the language before us and we, well, dumbed it down. British slang kicks so much ass, too. Wanker. -
