General Chat / Another computer problem.

My computer was working fine, but now if a start up my computer with a cd in it, the computer freezes. Also
it sometimes freezes when I put in a cd. Its burns and writes cds. Could it be the cd drive? I don't know what to do, as it is really annoying. Any help would be greatly apprieciated.

mine did this with floppys but never with cds..try taking it out

is this the computer just built? maybe somthings wrong with how you put it together

Yeah this is with my new computer. It works perfect without any cd in it. Never froze, but when there is a cd in, it freezes. I am certain everything is hooked up right. I'll go look again though.

go to the bios, and see if it's set to boot from cd

Yay! It works. I can't believe I didn't think of that. I went into the bios and changed to boot from floppy. Now it works perfectly! Thank you!
