I once dreamed that I rode X before I ever tried it in real life. It was pretty amazing, because I could feel the the forces of the coaster and the wind rushing by me. It was a lot smoother than real life, however. I guess that's how I know it's a dream.i have had atleast 15+ dreams where I'm about to ride X, but when i get to the station the ride crashes, so everyone has to leave. It seems so real though, since i saw the ride while lining up for it, i saw viper and heard the screams, etc. i get really mad when i wake up.
Also there was 1 time where i wasn't exactly asleep, but 3/4 way there, and i here a whole bunch of people talking like at a party. i was home alone, and it realyl freaked me out so much that i couldn't fall back asleep. It was silent 1 second, then te next its filled with voices.
Also, flying dreams rule. I used to have a ton of those as a kid. Not so much anymore. -

I find that when I'm drunk and go to sleep, that I'll have a dream that seems like it has lasted for hours and its basically just reliving the events that occured from the time I started drinking to when I finished, except there's some surreal elements thrown in. These are also the types of dreams where I can control what goes on, since I know it's a dream by the surreal elements that weren't there when it actually happened when I was awake. It's a pretty cool experience. -

I have a BAD tendency to dream of the normal stuff I do when I wake-up, for example: At my old house, i dreamt that I woke up, made breakky, showered - all the normal shite - and when I went into da lounge to watch TV, my housemate was on da floor with her throat slashed open. When I actually DID wake up, I'd just hopped out of the bathroom when I realised that I'd done everything that I'd dreamt of. When I got to da lounge room, I could see my housemate's feet out of the cornber of my eye. She wasn't dead though - just asleep, with no injury whatsoever. Made me freak the fuck out though... -

I don't understand them. I get the falling dreams alot, but I get more often the ones where you're not in a deep sleep yet, but you're just thinking about stupid stuff like walking along a sidewalk and you trip and fall and hit the ground and then you wake up really suddenly and jerk up and stuff. I hate that.
I think it's weird how I dream something, and it seems to come true in my life somehow. I always dream something happens, and it does, and when it does, I remember it and I think "whoa, i dreamed that" and it's weird. -

The only dreams I have are ones where I think I am asleep when I'm not supposed to be. I wake up in my room thinking I'm on break at my job and I fell asleep. Or when I was doing tech work on Fiddler on the Roof I would wake up at night thinking I was backstage and not working. Or I always thinking I'm lying down on my bed in the middle of crowd and the people around me sort of freak me out so I can't quite sleep.
It's always a good feeling to wake up and realize I'm not at work, and that I'm perfectly justified in sleeping as much as I want at the moment. So I do, and thats what I'm going to go do right now.
Weirdest Dream ever, I was online (actually) and I went to bed around 11, but when I fell asleep I dreamed I was still online and didnt go to bed until 7 the next morning, and when I woke up, it was around seven. For a little while I had convinced myself I had spent the entire night on the computer.
I always also seem to dream of doing things I'm planning on doing when I wake up. Especially if I'm nervous about it or looking forward to it , Lets say I'm going to ask someone something and I'm nervous about it, I'll dream about talking to them that night.
Also, like thorpedo described, I get dreams where I am not totally asleep, but imagining walking and trip and then I jerk really hard. -

I had a weird dream the other night. I was camping with Pope John Paul II and we were sitting around a campfire. He was mumbling about something. I don't know what. It was really weird. -

I had a dream last night that I was going to see Pink Floyd at Lupo's (that's a rock club in Providence), and they were going to play Wish You Were Here in its entirety along with about three other songs. -

The coolest part about my dreams is that even when the content itself isn't surreal, it's presented in a surreal way. For instance, in last night's dream, my mom dropped me off in an SUV, and to drop me off she had to go around all these cones. Meanwhile, I was leaning out the window yelling to a bunch of my friends that were already there (they were all girls, though, that was weird). Also, the dream version of Lupo's looked nothing like the real thing. I walked up to the ticket window and paid for my ticket with a $100, and they said they had to give me $97.40 in change but mostly in lottery credits. So they give me two pieces of paper that were lottery credits that I can exchange for money at a lottery place, and about 3 dollars in actual cash. The Lottery credit papers looked like the pieces of paper you get at the Massachusetts RMV when waiting in line. Then I made my way to the lobby, where I put some of my money into an arcade game, and I got 500-something tickets. But I heard Pink Floyd start to play so I wanted it to spit out my tickets really quickly. Then I went into the club part, which looked more like The Call (another, much smaller Providence club) than the interior of Lupo's. There is where I met my friends. Also, somewhere along the line I caught a glimpse of setlists that Pink Floyd play on this their reunion tour, and each had a title. Like this one was, Wish You Were Here/(something) because they played a few other songs not on the Wish You Were Here album. There was also a set in which they played Dark Side of the Moon in its entierty, and that was the whole set. And there were others. How surreal.
There were also other parts of the dream but they didn't have Pink Floyd in them.
Also, the main color in this dream was brown. Most everything was shades of brown. -
