I just had a very weird dream. The thing is, It felt more real then now. It lasted 30 minutes in real time, and felt like hours in dream world. It was really weird. I could stop time and shit and I played with women's tits, you know how it is. I could control my dream. I think it was a lucid dream. I knew it was a dream when dreaming it. But something about it felt really real. I was really scared waking up too. Are dreams real actually? Could they be your past lifes? Maybe when you die you dream forever.. I dunno. Post your thoughts on dreams and like what you think happens when you die. I feel really weird now. This feels like a dream. Maybe I am dreaming?? Maybe I am in bed right now.

And another thing. I wish I dreamed for the rest of my life. I was life was a dream.. Or is it?

How do you know how long your dream was?

Nope, definitly not a past, current, or future life of yours.

Were you answering my question? If you were, it didn't answer it.

Because I looked at the clock before I went to bed and when I woke up it was only 30 minutes later but it felt like hours.

So you assume you started dreaming as soon as you fell asleep? I mean you could of, but is that likely? I don't really know much about dreams. Do we start dreaming as soon as we fall asleep?

@ VC -- Some people did a study, and found that dreams can last only a few minutes in actual time, but feel like they've lasted much longer in the "dream" time. Dreams don't actually follow real time. The longest single dream ever recorded (during a study) was hours long, which means that guy could've been living in that dream for weeks.

    ...

Anyways, I think dreams are just random thoughts. When you're awake, have you ever been bored, and just think random things (what if this, how about that). Dreams are probably just those things, but thought while you're asleep. Your brain just creates these situations to keep itself busy.

I've had dreams where I knew it was a dream and could control things and thus went on dreaming anyway. Those are pretty cool when you have that element of "control."

I could write a book on dreams I've had... most of them are pretty cool. :bandit:

Yeah I had one creepy "real" dream when I was five or six years old... I dreamed that I was on my way to my parents bed (In my dream I was too scared too sleep in my own bed) and just when i was about to fall asleep, the window to my right opened. I know this part was a dream anyway, as the window opened in the middle, but in reality the window only could be opened from the side if you get the point. then, i heard somebody scream outside, and then a laughter (wich reminded me of a laughter I heard on TV earlier that day, a cartoon with a starshaped figure as the main character) then i shut my eyes because i was really scared, and then i felt the bed going up and down as someone was walking with the bed because i felt no hands under me... then i woke up in my bed. It sounds really like cliché but it felt so real that the next morning, I didn't know if i actually fell asleep in my own bed or fell asleep in my parents bed and the was carried out to my own bed by either mum or dad.. And i never asked them about it. So now, I don't know what happened really.

    It was really creepy :twitch:

    I love dreams.

Some weird things though, I can never hit anybody in my dreams, when I try my punches always go really slow and I end up having to grab the other person. It makes me think that maybe dreams are like a glympse of heaven or a state of living which is so good, nothing bad can happen. (unless you have a nightmare) When ever I dream about people I know, I always wake up feeling really strongly about them, and I often spend the majority of the day thinking about them, its as if my sub-concience is telling me how to feel towards the person. IE one night I dreamt about being all cuddley with my girlfriend, the next morning I woke up and felt really good about my girlfriend, despite us going through a very rough patch, I prolly would have finished it with her that day if it wasnt for my dream.

I dont know what dreams are, but they are good, and they often help me be more aware of things in my life. I mean when Im dreaming Im not prejudice or narrowminded, I just.... watch myself?! I dunno. In an extreme situation you could say its god showing you how to act. I have lots of theorys, non of them make much sense. Dreams are just a great break from reality, maybe its your concience's way of getting away from reality, or dealing with reality.

I know some people who say they never have dreams????

I have that too, Diego, where you can't hit anyone. I had this dream where I was chasing this guy in a weird mascot-style suit and I was chucking stuff at him and was about to kick him but then it was REALLY slow and it just never happened :-/ I was uberpissed off cos I wanted to kick him so bad. Ah well.

I like the dreams where you're falling (off a cliff or something) and then when you hit the ground in your dream you feel like you hit your bed, but you're actually just twitching so you're bed shakes like you just fell on it. It's really cool, and a lot of fun. :)

Same here, kinda. I had a dream where I got pushed into the road into oncoming traffic, and I couldn't get up, and when I tried to it would be real slow getting up, and I fell back onto the road again. I have no idea why that happens.
