Wow people are real mature around on these forums. Everytime I express my opinion I get flammed and called an idiot. Also you guys should really learn how to talk to people without cursing. Its really arrogant and really annoying. Seriouslly its getting really annoying that everytime I express my opinion I get yelled at and called a moron. I sit here and read and it says thats a humans right... well its my American right to state my opinion and if you dont like it dont bother talking to me because quite frankly it just sickens me that you all think you such big men that you can use 4 letter cuss words. Anyways I just wanted to say my blessing and be on my way because by the looks of it if anyone has a seperate opinion than the rest of you that you get pissed and gang up on him so ill go now but I do recommend thinking of how stupid you all sound when you try and act tough and gang up on someone. CPFreak, while you're certainly entitled to your opinions, we're entitled to disagree.

That said, I'd like to tell the rest of the forum that if you don't agree with him, please express it maturely. In a way, you're "no better than he is" if you resort to calling him an idiot, cursing at him, and generally being incredibly flamey. Instead, argue and debate with him in a nice manner. You'll make yourself look like more than just a bandwagon hopper, and we can avoid flame wars.

Yes, I personally think his comments were ignorant and foolish, but I'm not going to call him "a fucking idiot" or tell him to go die just because he happens to feel that way. That's not productive. Try to keep this civil, eh?

I usually don't get into the whole (gay-Hetero) debates as much as i used to before. but I've come to the conclusion as that in my opinion, the U.S. governemnt should replace Marriage for Civil Unions since, Marriage is goign to get many religious folks upset, and since our Governement is supposed to be seperation of Church and State, it'd be the most neutral way for the subject. Understanding that Civil Unions would be *lifted* to the exact same status of Marriage is right now, only in a religious free connotations. the only upsetting part for me is listening to gays trying to prove or push themselves into religious groups and be recognized as not sinful, when some religiouns (like mine) clearly explains its is a sin. honostly even if they don't change the name, which i think is safer to do then leave some strong religious believers always resentful about it. to me its all in the name, really. its just the whole justification that its all-right in religious circles is upsetting, the religious people don't like it yet your still pushing even AFTER you gained your CU/Marriage rights? this is what's been going on lately and thats all that really upsets me is that, not so much anymore of the gov. validated gay-marriage.

As of this writing there are currently NO FEDERAL MARRIAGE (and I am referring to civil marriages) protections in place for GLB couples. And yes, I agree it is futile to think that GLB people are trying to press this issue with religious organizations. That to me is stupid. But so, to me, is organized religion (a different topic, so I shan't elaborate. If someone wants to start a thread about it, please feel free, and we can talk about it there).

Personally, I am only asking for the same civil rights. Why do we keep bringing this up? Oh yeah...ignorant fools like CPF keep harping on it....at present, I am leaning towards the whole, let's REMOVE any and all CIVIL benefits that come with a civil marriage license. Then all of you "hets" who are so GD concerned with my partner of 12 years, Chris, and myself destroying your precious little institution, can undergo the $40,000 worth of legal fees that we've incurred to set ourselves up as legal guardians and protectors of each other and our assets. That's where I'm leaning at the moment.

umm as far as that which you said i don't recall and if you want please point out where in the Quron or the Hadith says that. Please don't forget that the first person to actually call for prayer was a freed slave, not to mention the Prophet did'nt condon it.

honostly Islam state's Marriage as a legal matter, not as a sacremental union. yet at the same time it does not accept homosexual partnerships as not sinful, and because Islam is a religion it become rather hypocritical. but still in a country like this, gays should, in legal standards, who have adopted children (which i don't agree with so much for other reasons, but now that this is also allowed whatever) should be allowed. really its all in the name of Marriage that upsets people more that's all. I don't care to see pictures of happy gay or lesbian couples getting married in my opinion despite the media is gonna push it on me (whether now in Mass. or in the future). but bottem line Meretrix i support the cause, in that alone i'm saying, "I've actually reversed my original opinion" I don't like it per say, and i'm not going to smile about it either, but in a secular society what is so wrong with it.

Whats right is right and humans were not put on this earth as bi-sexuals other wise we would be able to reproduce with males. So once again I say be gay, be a hermafrodite, or be a splinter dick for all I care. As long as I dont know I am happy. If you guys walked down the street and saw a guy kissing a tree (or worse) you would say "what the hell thats sick". So everyone has there own beliefs and I know mine may not be perfect but I can safely say yours are not either. So read the bible if you want to understand my POV and if you arent going to or never have do not tell me I am wrong because thats like telling me I am wrong for wanting to go to heaven.

I understand that your religion may say it's wrong, and that you feel you aren't a good Christian if you go against what the Bible says. If you want to be like that then that's fine. If you feel that homosexuality is unnatural, then your point is scientifically a good argument.

But what I don't understand is why you can't just let people be who they are. You're free to think whatever you want.. but I don't think it's right for you to physically try to stop someone from doing what they want to do. If you see two gay people getting married, you're free to think they're going to hell. It's what your religion supposedly says. But what if those two gay people don't have the same religion as you? It's unfair for you to stop gay marriage when all you have to rely on is your own opinion. The Bible may say you will go to hell if you are gay, but it doesn't say anything about going to hell if you don't stop gay people from getting married. So relax, I'm sure you'll get into heaven.

If it really bothers you, then don't think about it.. because it will never affect your life if you don't let it.

Yea... I said I was sorry. I told a guy his park sucked is that so bad. I even changed the post after you warned me and I gave him advice but apparently you still decided to ban me. Actually GymKid, no. What I support is the definition of marriage as it existed in California, up until 1977. It used to read, a contract between two persons, to the exclusion of all others. I am not trying to change the "two" part. The reason I feel that marriage currently discriminates against GLB persons, is that we, because of the way we were born, cannot partake of the institution of civil marriage, without perpetrating a fraud, on both ourselves, and the person to whom we would be married. Straight or gay has nothing to do with HOW many people you "fall in love with", or lust with (which is probably why so many married couples are unfaithful....or maybe I'm just talking out of my ass).

Many will say that that stance makes me a hypocrite. To that I simply say, please refer to my explanation above.
