Hmmm, that pic is watermarked and everything. You could of simply linked us to a fan site or something that has a pic already released by Atari. I want proof boyo!!!
If you are telling the truth though, thats great. NE has an insider. Could you try and stop the exspansions from being well... shite by actually telling your boss that it sucks before its released? -

I believe the installation pic, but I can't decide whether you're right about RCT3 being done. If so, why release it in the holiday season intstead of early October like RCT2? -

OMG YOU WORK FOR ATARI? Wow! That's awesome. I never thought RCT3D would be finished this early. I hope it's released early too. Think yopu could send me a copy early. lol -

Like the guy said (if he is an Atari employee that is) they're gonna start advertisement and hype now. You dont just release a game you just finished. They have to get the advertisement cogs moving.I believe the installation pic, but I can't decide whether you're right about RCT3 being done. And I do beleive the pic is genuine im just not sure if the guy is. -

Hey you never know maybe it's his dad who works there or something, but where else would you get a pic like that? It's not on any other sites. The only place (or person) you could get it from is Atari or an Atari employee...Like the guy said (if he is an Atari employee that is) they're gonna start advertisement and hype now. Even though I beleive its authentic theres still the possiblity that it could be a fake.

If you don't work at Atari... better not let us expose you.
If you DO work at Atari, careful with releasing material that's still considered company property. You could be violating a company non-disclosure policy by revealing what is considered to be "a secret."
Personally, I think it's a bit early for the game to be done. Now, if the game engine is done and all that's needed is finetuning and tweaking and testing, then maybe, but 100% done and ready for release now? No way. Not if there's still four months until release. -

Yea, um, I guess you got a point there...

Hm....
You have that as a background pic... frankly, I could photoshop that pic if I wanted to to make it look like this.
It's not to say it's a fake, but if you're suspicious, you could argue that it was edited. -

Are we actually gonna be able to construct our own buildings like in RCT2 Mr.Atari? My connection is slow so i havnt seen any videos. Surely if you've shown an image then you can tell me this little slice of info. -

If you want my opinion...
I think its a fake:
1. Check your install folders. Its "Hasbro Interactive > RollerCoaster Tycoon". With the 2nd game its "Infogrames Interactive > RollerCoaster Tycoon 2" The picture shows its installing to: "Program Files\Roller Coaster Tycoon 3" : Why the sudden addition of a gap between Roller and Coaster?
2. Atari Games don't install to a completely separate game directory. Civilization III: Conquests (by Atari) installs to "Program Files\Atari\Civilization III Conquests", not "Program Files\Civilization III Conquests". (and that game changed publishers like RCT) Why move an Atari game out of its natural company folder?
3. Its not exactly rocket science to mock up a RCT3 installation program infront of a RCT3 picture.
4. Theres no gap/space between "Remaining" and "10". Installers rarely make errors like that.
5. 10 Minutes 10 seconds? For RCT3? I think installing UT2k4 took less time. And that was from a zip.
6. The whole installer looks quite primitive, I would of expected Install Shield to be honest.
Also, like Corkje saidIf you DO work at Atari, careful with releasing material that's still considered company property. You could be violating a company non-disclosure policy by revealing what is considered to be "a secret."
Why risk your job just to show an installing picture on a fansite?
If it real, then fair enough. But baring in mind I'm a tight git, so I'm expected to be critical. -

I honestly think it's fake. None of the past games have had an installation look like that. They have a small banner across the top of the installation wizard with a small picture and the game's logo...
It's fake. -

I just noticed that. I also noticed the Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 logo is a little messy, with the white. If it was a real logo, there'd be a transparent version they could slap on easily.
In fact, in just a little bit of work, I was able to produce my own "installation screen."
That's right, guys! I work at Atari too!!!
And this is all using images found on the net, mind you, including the "installation screen" which was edited a bit. I'd have a 1024x768 version, but the pics I found were a bit shoddy on quality, so yeah. Gets point across tho. -
