Custom Scenery Exchange / Land Blocks

A round off of things so far. I've added a few objects and fixed most the objects alignment errors. (when put next to actual areas of land they were mis-aligned and the 1/4 did not fit with the full)

I like it but i dont like the diagonal block...i wouldnt use that one. These will also be good for making tunnel just not showing the normal steel circular tunnel it normally has.

Just a heads up in case you forget: the underside of the arched blocks still do not match the side of the ground in terms of darkness. The undersides are too dark.

yeah i'm aware of that problem and it will be fixed by release.

For people wondering how it is going: i've added a 1/4 arch (i think it was mentioned here as a request) and fixed all the alignment areas. Should be be able to get a release of 50+ objects by the end of this week.

The object count in-game currently stands at 45. I still have some more objects to add (almost all art is complete - just needs to be put into the editor/game) which should bring the object count up to around 60 objects. That will then most likely be it and the pack will be prepared for release.

Things to be added are the rest of the flat and sloped corner pieces. Heres a lil teaser screen for now to keep you lot happy! (well possibly) :|

Are 60 objects really needed for this type of scenery? Or even 45? Who'll use/what's the point of having the color changeable land blocks?

Are 60 objects really needed for this type of scenery? Or even 45? Who'll use/what's the point of having the color changeable land blocks?

Well to start off with this pack includes 9 of the RCT2 land types. Multiply that by the amount of different objects (full tile, 1/4 tile, sloped, corner etc) and the object count goes up quite high. Then include all the objects for the 3 custom land types. (there are less of them than original land types)

As for the point of the colour changables, they are there to give park designers the option of having a wider range of possibilities with the certain land type. The dirt for example, you can mix together different shades/colours of dirt or mix different shades/colours with other land types. (like in the screen above)

The 60 or so objects don't have to all be selected anyway. The park designer can decide what land types/objects he/she might need for their park and deselect the ones not needed. So object limits shouldn't be a big problem with this pack.

So that should answer your questions.

looks good, maybe u should try and save all the full tile land blocks as one tile large scenery

just posted my color changeable land blocks scenery that I made a while ago. hope we didn't end up having same objects.

Yea just seen them and they are very good. None of my objects duplicate them so don't worry about that. (well its me who would worry if there were duplicates)

Um, could you split the custom land types, standard land types and colorable land type up into seperate packages? That way I can use the ones I want to without a bunch of extra's.

The arch's still arn't perfect but they are getting closer. Nice work.

The underside of the arches are now (hopefully) fixed. I've added all the sloped corner pieces now and i'm now deciding which objects to include, which objects to take out and release later (colourable seperate as someone requested) and also testing and touching up existing objects.

The object count looks like around 45 by final release. (if objects are taken out for later release)

They look nice, however they look like they will add a lot more time and hard work into upcoming parks and current projects. But I'm sure they will be helpful in making amazing landscapes.

Looking foward to seeing the download.

Any chance of a curved grass land block? Full or quarter tile is good... Please?

I'll see what i can do.

Just so everyone's aware, this pack will be spilt up as ride6 suggested. I'm starting to get the first lot tested, which are the normal land types in RCT2 + the 3 custom land types. (around 40+ objects) I will then go on to release colourables and possibly extras a little later afterwards.
