Custom Scenery Exchange / Land Blocks

An idea came to me today to create various land blocks to use for creating different elevations of land without the limitation of the land tool.

This screen shows the main RCT2 land types as full tile, 1 clearence blocks. Some land types are colourable such as the dirt and sand pieces. I hope to soon add a few custom land types of my own and maybe some variations of the blocks themselves.

I think they're pretty cool but you'd have to create the sloped tiles too to really make them feasible.

^ agreed. Although if you just replicated the same shapes toon used for the ground land blocks he did for the other types of land, I'd definitely use them.

yeh they look pretty useful but you need like the sloped ones too and the angled ones...

    Cough.

^ EXACTLY! I knew someone made them, because I've had them.

    You, Tom, lose.

    You, Tom, lose.

Nate's are one level high and only dirt-type. So, uh, these are different.

    It's like everything's a competition for you :-/

Just ignore them Tom and keep doing your thing.

Here are the objects on their own....

Would be awsome if you could do the same but with water, and maybe 1/4 blocks for all of this? But its looking awsome and very useful.

Definetly will need sloped tiles, they are very usefull for putting half of a element underground or something.

you should think about making them quarter size, instead of whole. Then, they would be more useful.

    Loving the grass :)

long grass is the only one that I like out of those, it still needs some working on it though... make it so the grass is more continuous between multiple blocks.

Try stretching the pebbles to the edge of the block so you can't see the sand.

^ All perfectly valid comments ...

Yea its almost certain that these will all be as 1/4 tile. (the flat blocks at least)

I can see what you mean....i'll look into it.

Good idea - think i'll just have pebbles instead of sand+pebbles

That water tile block looks very useful as you could have water going underground without using unfinished water rides that sometimes don't look right!

Likewise you could raise the water in the air to make waterways, which are not just waterrides.

    Keep up the Good work.

I do agree however, that you will have to make sloped land blocks for them to be really useful.

...and now for the quarter tile blocks....

Nice! On the part with the rocks, the underside of the arch looks very shiny for being just earth. Apart from that, good work!
