Get A Name That Doesn't Suck Offline
I just started playing RCT2 AGAIN for the first time in 8 monthes. I used to be really good, but it can take awhile before someone like me gets back in to the routine of things. I've tryed make 3 coasters and I want you guys to check them out. The ratings are great, but I need help on realistic supports, and unrealistic scenery for each of the coasters. Comments will overjoy me.
Thanks,

First lets view my wonderland snow style rollercoaster based on a superhero made up, called Sn0xx. The ride fits appropiately, because of the ability to fly in the rollercoaster. It's pretty neat, it's got stats of 7.00+ excitement, no red on the stat page. (Which is good). It's pretty thrilling, it's got 1 inversion (twist) and customers crave it.
err. FUCK. Can ANYTHING go fucking right for me?!!!!

This inverted rollercoaster features a series of thrilling loops embedded in a forestland type of scenery. Riders enjoy this feature of sudden drops, stops, and hops as they soar head over heels in this delightful coaster called Ph33r Teh Forest.

It's shit...it lacks architecture, landscaping and foliage varaition. The layout isn't very good either. -

Convert a picture to jpeg, and attach it using the file attachment option at the bottom of the reply page. Just upload it from your desktop or where the pic is. Make sure it is less than 102400 bytes. Do this either by reducing the quality of the picture of the size of it. Adobe Photoshop is the only programme I know in which you can reduce the quality of the picture. -

Now come on jon, you could at least tell him why you think its shit...It's shit...
It does suffer from the typical n00b tendencies, such as excessive single pathing, lack of height variation and non-existant architecture, but I think the coaster layouts and color schemes show some potential. -

By the way I right clicked and checked out the source of the pics. Lets just say they are not NE newbie standard. Add some buildings and real ride entrance/exit buildings. -

I can't see your screens, but let me give you a tip. People here don't give a shit about stats. At New Element, roller coasters have been successfully pushed to the background in favor of pretty buildings. So even if you're an awesome coaster builder, I hope you can make pretty buildings.First lets view my wonderland snow style rollercoaster based on a superhero made up, called Sn0xx. Don't let Blitz hear you, Spooney.
Anyway, coaster stats are important, but theming skills are as well. The best are amazing at both.
However, I'll admit that if you want to impress people, theming will probably do it more than coasters, since you can see the theming in a screen, but you can't tell how good a coaster is from a screen necessarily. -

Well i'm not a fan of that coaster because all it consists of are two big helix parts and an inline twist. If you look at most coasters they tend to have variation...I can imagine that one being fun to begin with, but after a while of turning, i'd probably be a bit bored. So some turning dives, some flyer elements, some coolness...check out the Crazy Flying Coaster on rcdb.com for an example of what I mean. That coaster just looks kick ass. -

[Blitz-ish mode]Moonspoon, What the fuck could you possably mean by "theming matters more than coasters?". Sure Mala is kick ass at theming but the first thing everyone sees the thing they remember most about his parks is the coasters![/Blitz-ish mode]Don't let Blitz hear you, Spooney.
Now if you were really a good coaster designer only being an "okay" themer would cut it. However from what I can tell your good at neither and would fit in good at the official website since they think you're bad ass for beating the first 9 scenarios.
Check out Rivers of Babylon and Disney Sea Spain in the spotlight area, Escalante River Falls under the contests (hi rollers) and Rift Valley (Pro Tour) for idea's as for what good theming is, and also to learn what real good coasters look like.

Layout > Themeing on coasters, but I don't care about stats. RCT's rating system is so screwed up I don't worry about it any more and I just imagine what it would be like in real life.
