I'll echo them commentsSometimes I just don't get you, Matt...
Personally, I would say my productivity is a 0.5.
But, my themeing should be higher, and so should my creativity.
Anyway, it's your shit, not mine. I really dropped lots of places. People need to stop getting better than me.
As ive produced much more than alec in the last 6 months yet we have the same productivity.
True though, i wish people would stop getting better than me aswell -

It's more that you never get anything done. You're a kick ass player however we still don't have a full map to really judge your true abilities on. Same goes for Blitz-Sama really.Sometimes I just don't get you, Matt...

I figured that I would be in that group since Turtle, Kumba and Rog made it. Oh well, I guess that's what I get for cranking out a rushed and slightly confused Pro Tour entry. I can only pray that the mention of that being the "First annual PT" is true so that I can attempt to redeam myself.
I will move around on the list in a month or two anyway with IO.

Great list again.
But i aggre with Leighx Kumba should be alot lower than that.
I just dont seem to enjoy his parks, too much hacking for me. -
Kumba Offline
Do you mean lower like 32 or below or lower like skill wise (34 or higher)?
I think im in the right spot myself... -

Yeah but the number you deserve.
I find it hilarious that you get so arsey over a opinion, shows you can't handle people not liking your work for once.
Grow up. -

In all honesty, Kumba wouldn't get the criticism he gets if his attitude was less arrogant, bull-headed and self-centered. Attitude, although on a subconcious level, plays a role in a person's opinion of other peoples' work. Stop focusing on all of the lists and opinions, it absorbs all of the fun out of things.
This seems like a continuation of the "NE Needs New Parkmakers" thread that was abolished, this time involving everyone. While this list is less political than the others, there are still people that will (and have) overreacted to it. Letting us know where are strengths and weaknesses are is a good thing - but the rankings are overshadowing the individual accomplishments of each unique parkmaker. -

^I disagree about this sapping the fun out of the game but Kumba can't handle it, really. Darwood was pretty damn good but Bayfront isn't going to be able to match it, let alone top it without going back to the SE and I know better than that happening.
All I can hope for myself is a continued acquiring of skills accompanied by gradually improving parks. I think IO will fit into that discription, even though it seems like a huge leap forward to me right now, I know that it won't seem like much over WoC when it's done.
All I know is that I'm going to change over to more fantasy-style parkmaking because this realistic stuff has began to bore me with its restrictions, and I'll never be able to match John, SA, Meritrix or Slob in that catigory anyway.

But you gotta remember John, if you read iris' RCT history, you would know that lists are his specialty and are what make NE unique from other RCT sites. You would never find anything like this on RCTCompo or RCT2.com. I personally like the lists, mainly because I've been able to see myself rise through the rankings and I also like the "competitiveness" that his lists create. All in all, I think "NE Lists" have their pros and cons, but I feel the pros out weigh the cons when it comes the integrity of New Element as a website. True, people are always gonna bitch and moan about their ranking, but thats life, and I say you need to have some balls to deal with it. I somewhat agree that it does create a subconcious opinion when rating other parkmaker's work, but again, I think that comes with the NE territory and philosophy on the RCT games that have been created here.In all honesty, Kumba wouldn't get the criticism he gets if his attitude was less arrogant, bull-headed and self-centered. Attitude, although on a subconcious level, plays a role in a person's opinion of other peoples' work. Stop focusing on all of the lists and opinions, it absorbs all of the fun out of things.

Oicherama! But at least it's higher than Mantis's rating.
Anyway, I came in exactly where I figured I'd come in, though for pride's sake, I would have liked to come in ahead of relative newcomer Phatage (well, compared to an old foogie like me). Personally, I think he's just a tad overrated (no offense; and yes I DID read your Epica ReadMe), though he's definitely not far from super greatness. I just haven't seen anything that would have me classify him with people like Mala, mantis, X-Sector, SA, and Natelox. That's just opinion, of course.

It's how people INTERPRET the lists that is the problem, the lists don't create controversy all by themselves. The "end-all, be-all" atmosphere the lists create amongst people is what I'm most annoyed by. I think the lists are a great measuring stick to use, and are especially nice when you get opinions about what you are and are not doing right. The problems begin when people don't look at it in that manner, but rather as an all-out competition. Competition is nice, and it motivates people, but only to a certain extent. Let's keep competition-mindedness to contests, and be open-minded and constructive toward the lists. -

John, I've learned to ignore morons who take The List as the Bible and overreact to it. First of all, it's Iris's list, so that's opinion. Ed, Toon, Foozy, Raven, and I would all give different lists, with some drastic changes in some parts.
Secondly, it's just a damn game. I know I sometimes act mad about not being the best, but that's all it is. An act. Ultimately, while I do strive to be the best, I'm not going to go ballistic if I'm not #1. And that's the way it should be. So it's not the List to blame, just morons. So ignore them. Or laugh at them. There is absolutely no reason you should let yourself be annoyed.
No finish a full-sized park. -

I think people like Phatage so much because he's unpredictable. He doesn't really have a distinct style.. but he knows the game very well. He has a huge range.. I mean, who would have ever thought that the guy who created one of the most realistic Six Flags parks, also created one of the most complicated and bizarre Heaven/Hell parks?I would have liked to come in ahead of relative newcomer Phatage (well, compared to an old foogie like me). I still cringe when I hear that.who created one of the most realistic Six Flags parks
Rides and infrastructure the park was as realistic as it gets.
Architecture and foliage, not so much. -

Six Flags isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be.
Although I myself wouldn't want a Six Flags park in Omaha.
