News / Official NE Parkmaker Order

Now I know Kumba had this idea because he told me about it, but me, Corkscrewed, and Coaster Ed planned to do this as a team quite a ways back but never got around to it. Well seeing as it's 5 A.M. here and I couldn't sleep, I decided to put this plan in order. I picked out the fifty best parkmakers at New Element and ranked them accordingly to their scores I gave them in each of the following categories:

-Coaster Layouts - The person's ability to create amazing roller coasters
-Theming - How well the person can theme an area or ride
-Architecture - How well the parkmaker can build beautiful, or realistic architecture
-Creativity/Originality - How original the parkmaker is with his ideas and how well he pulls them off
-Productivity - How dependable the parkmaker is and how often he releases work
-Community Effect - How important the parkmaker's releases are, and his overall worth in the community
-Naming - How well the parkmaker names his parks and rides
-Atmosphere/Environment - How well the parkmaker creates the atmosphere he was trying for
-Potential To Build Next Great Park - In my eyes, how likely it is that the next park this person creates is monumental
-The WOW Effect - How eye-opening/jaw dropping a person's work is
-Detail - How detailed a person's work appears to be
-Variety - How well the parkmaker can switch up their styles and present new work

There will be five installments...
"The Elite" - Parkmakers 1-10
"The Great Ones" - Parkmakers 11-20
"One Step Away From Greatness" - Parkmakers 21-30
"The Very Good" - Parkmakers 31-40
"Just Missing That Little Something" - Parkmakers 41-50

If you're not on this list, keep your head up. I originally started out with the top 75 parkmakers to list, but I didn't have the time nor patience for that, so I trimmed it down. Good luck, and maybe I'll update this in a month or so. Bear in mind, this is for ACTIVE parkmakers only. Therefore, you will see no PyroPenguin, no RRP, no vTd, etc. on this list.

Interesting so far... when does the rest get posted?

I looked through it all, and I didn't really have any issues with it, except for sa's coaster rating, RoB should have secured him a 10 in that area imo. And I'm sure Toon still plans to realise his IoA... someday.

Its a great idea, the first ten seems to bein the order i would have placed them in too. Maybe i would have ranked Phatage a little higher after seeing his pro-tour entry. But Mala is definitly the best out of the lot, his work is just simply mind-blowing...

Ummm i think the list is about right but i think Fatha' should be a little higher.

Apart from that its all good.

I am a little upset of how you say that Toon's up and coming work are the QFTB - X "ENTRIES" Do I really stand no chance at all.

Anyways I agree with the list, Mala comes up with best mindblowing work out of them all. I would of perhaps put Toon a little lower though as he has not actually released a great solo park yet, even though he has the potential to produce a no 1. On the other hand Gila is my favourite design around NE.

Wow..cBass AND Phatage are in the top 10. Amazing stuff.

Shame theres not many solos coming out of those, unless its a secret. I cant speak for the LL ranked players, but i can say the RCT2 players all have pretty accurate ratings.

It's all opinion... and it's just plain fun.

Really, I like this list, it gets you thinking... So far though, I'd prolly have Coaster Ed in front of Toon, but his productivity rating really brings his ranking down.

Great list so far, I'm really looking forward to the rest of the rankings.

well this is almost what I told you id like to try, the only thing I would have done diffrant is the picking, I would have asked people to PM or E-mail their scores and see what all the people think, But now with this I don't need to do any math so we'r cool

The top nine were exactly how I'd have placed them, but I would have placed Phatage around 14.

Wow, great idea. So far it seems spot on.. although I expected to see Butterfinger and Corkscrewed up there somewhere.

I still can't beleive how fast cbass is moving on up.

I remember when he posted his very first screenshots of Wisconsin over a year ago, and now hes a member of the elite.
I agree with what you got there, but I'm not to sure about Phatage.
