    like toon said.

compare to number of people riding airplanes EVERY YEAR, compared to the deaths of people let alone any sort of structural damage to airplanes.

I know the media will make roller coasters seem dangerous and out to have all closed down (a lawyers dream, DAMN THEM!) the media needs something bad to blow out of proportions, like Iraq being really dangerous for example, theme parks is another set for the media people. Considering the fact that people on airplanes arn't expecting to crash and die, is the same a bunch of family members don't expect to get killed or injured on a roller coaster ride.

I'd rather have that than wait in a line for 5 fucking hours.

The "shards" were eventually labeled as "slivers," mind you all, though a sliver going 120 MPH still hurts. Still, it wasn't a major catastrophic disaster. You'd get the same effects riding the coaster and hitting a flea or gnat.
