Well, I've ridden it, and I can personally say that if they tore it down I owuld be pissed as hell...it's one helluva ride.

Not everyone is as lucky as you are. There are hundreds of people from around the world that come to ride this thing and are turned down. It's not good business to keep stuff like this happening. Something needs to change.

Its gonna suck for them if they tear it down because they would have wasted all that money on construction and advertising. I'm sure that if they made another coaster they'll probably make about as much money from it.

Yeah, it was metal shavings off of the launch cable...pretty freaky shit.

I wondered if that would happen since it was throwing up clouds of something over the cable-pulley set up right at the end of the launch run. I rode it and everything was fine then. I figured it had to be safe since the ride had opperated that way for a while. I guess I was wrong.

I wonder what they will do to stop this problem from repeating itself?

I wonder if this is going to effect Xcelerator and Storm Runner. Or do you think this could have just been caused by the amount of torture it goes trough launching that thing to 120mph? Not a good year for Intamin or parks, that is for sure.

it's proboly just going 140 mph. I went to hershey park and Storm Runner worked fine all day. They just need to go in during the off season and over-upgrade TTD so it works better.

Bull fucking shit. Intamin rides are pretty damn reliable. If you want to say that correctly its "That's Top Thrill Dragster for ya" because that would accully be the god damn truth.

Top Thrill has had so many problems that it'll do one of two things:
1) Go the was of The Bat @ PKI and get whiped out in a few years due to the issues that it has.
or
2) Because of it's crowd-pleasing capacity Cedar Point will take the rount SFMM did with X and pick away at the problems for a few years until opperation smooths out or people loose interest.
