    Greetings,
    Just wondering what the year is doing in the coaster name? Does it have any significance or is the date random. Jus trying to figure out why all the coasters by good people have years in them. Thanks

    Because that's the year, hypothetically speaking, in which they would have been constructed were the park real.

    Not all the coasters by good people have years in them. It's usually just in realistic to semi-realistic parks.

    Yeah^. It's normally to specify the year that the coaster was "built" if it and the park surrounding it was real. Same thing with the strange names that show up, they are accully coaster designers and/or builders.
