A very creepy film. Some of those ghosts were nasty looking. I thought it was a good movie, atleast for scares, but I'm no horror film expert.

Your thoughts?

It's not really new. I saw it the other night on TNT or USA one of those and thought it was pretty good. And ya some of the ghosts where freaky.

I will give it credit for one thing, the designs for the ghosts were very cool and creative. Otherwise, it absolutely sucked.

Yeah that did suck. Dark Castle generally does not make very good movies.. just some good "eye candy". Like that one classic opening scene in Ghost Ship, or that one scene where the guy is sliced vertically in 13 Ghosts. But as far the better movie as a whole, I'd say House on Haunted Hill was the best (until that incredibly retarded ending). It gave me the creeps for months.

Yeah, I'll admit that it was horrible story/acting wise, but it was big on the visual effects, and I know movie buffs hate it when a movie relies on that, but I just thought it had awesome effects and designs.

Yeah it was a cool movie. If you accept it for what it is, just a cool looking scary movie, it was awesome. It was definatly no masterpiece.

Crap, crap, crap.

The only thing Dark Castle is good for is imitating the "Marilyn Manson/Alice Cooper" visual aesthetic for scare tactics.

The problem with this film, is that it actually had potential, which was squandered away in the hands of an inexperienced director, and a lead actor (the father), who I wanted to see die. In fact, that whole family could've been killed and it would've made for much more interesting cinema.

However, all the negatives above.....the Jackal was VERY cool.

I didn't like 13 Ghosts at all. I thought it was a pathetic excuse to re-use the effects from the other Dark Castle production "House on Haunted Hill". Maybe if 13 Ghosts had been released before "H.o.H.H", my opinion would be reversed.

Thir13en Ghosts was definitely... dull. What's with horror movies and happy endings anymore? If I go to a scary movie, I don't want to leave with that comfortably relief feeling... i want to be watchin my back, avoiding dark allys... that kinda shit... fuck happy endings, kill em all!

Now that ruled! Pretty sick, and the rest of the film sucked, but that park was pretty damn good.
