The overall performance wasnt bad, the scoreline makes it look like england played better than they actually did, but as with the french(wankers) game, the result stands and england are on their way to beating france in the final.

I think WME was knocking the fact that up to tonight no one bar Sweden had scored more than two goals.

In an amazing second half turn around Croatia currently lead France by 2 goals to 1.

If things stayed the same they would top the group!

This is pretty bad news for us now, meaning we HAVE to win against croatia, no chance of escaping with a draw

Croatia had the best chance of the tournemant in the last minute of injury time to win the game, but Mornar from 3 yards rocketed it over the bar.

At least we only need a draw now.

If we play like we did today against an 11 man team of Croations we'll probably loose. We have to up our game pretty quick if we wan't to seriously push on.

If we played like we did in the first half, then we'll be in trouble. If we put in a performance like we did in the latter stages, we should be fine. You have to wonder whether Vassell was the trigger for the improved performace... I'd still play Owen, but one can only have so much patience... he did set up the first goal though.

Actually, I think Totti's ban could be a blessing in disguise. Now Del Piero will be able to take over full play maker responsibilities, without having to fight for space with Totti. I think you'll see a different Italy tonight...

Vassel should start, owen should come on later. A tired defense + owens pace fresh at around the hour mark could be deadly, if he doesnt trip over the ball first.

You have to remember we weere against 10 men, might not sound a lot but it really is. I really dont think the performance at all was that good, but better than loosing
