Well after reading all this, im gonna agree with verti.

Intentionally getting drunk is something stupid. Drinking a little bit to get more social is no problem, but just getting drunk is plain stupid, you destroy your body by doing that. Besides that when you go so far with alcohol you clearly don't know your body else you won't go so far.

It's not like being drunk instantly annihilates half of your brain and gets you liver cancer... Some people are drunk after only three or four beers. That's not going to destroy them... I don't see a problem with drinking as long as it doesn't become an addiction. Do whatever you want. I think it's fun once in a while.

Tour de Fat, a New Belgium nationwide tour where everyone dresses up in crazy random outfits and rides their bikes through town while drinking. Today was the tour's annual event right here in the brewery's hometown.
