[QUOTE]On one end, you have the screaming liberals for letting people walk around naked and screw everything that moves. On the other, you have conservative Nazi's who want to send anyone who is not straight, white, and heterosexual, to an internment camp.
I am amazed at the sheer lack of BALANCE in this country[\QUOTE]
usually when you have two extremes on opposite ends of things, as long as both thier views are expressed is the definition of balance. That is what makes this country great, we all have our own opinions and we all get to express them. Some people disagree with what others have to say, but that doesn't mean that because you disagree that you have to live that way.
PS; don't go to Canada, they have a guy there named Scott and i hear he's a DICK! -

That shut me up.Why do you all throw a fit when he posts? I mean, I know you all just "don't care", but no one cares if Marshy's school had a fire, either. Yet for some reason, no one throws out the "I AM NOT TO BE THE CARING" comments at him. Somehow, though, Dior posting a topic that is non-offensive and actually rather constructive, and people still take the piss out of him... grow up people, for the love of god.
What does LOGO stand for? I think Lazyboy came close but I'm not sure. -

Comments such as " Hey baby. Were you wearing a cup in this picture? If so does it runneth over?" or " I just got an erection...Call me" are really not needed. I do not see other straight people who say things like that in every post.
OMG. I WOULD LOVE TO BE THE RIDE ATTENDANT!!!
I mean just think of helping straping in the girls. You could hella look at their pussies and tits. Maybe even grab them when you pull the restraints over.
Don't you see this as a contradiction Turtleman? I think the posts about students riding a roller coaster nude are just as ridiculous and overtly sexual as Dior's antics. Please, keep your sexuality to yourselves. If you could just go ahead and make sure you do that for now on that would be great... [/officespace] -

Actually Aero, balance is more of the "pendulum" being in the "middle".
Right now, we have the nutcase liberals, and the Christian WRONG, at either end of the spectrum, wreaking havoc in this country. I hate to sound biased in this case, and I would be happy to point you to CNN's website, where all of the "articles" I am about to bring up are posted, but ultimately, it boils down to WAY too many people in this country not believing that ALL Americans should be equally protected.
On a completely self serving activist note.......and this is something to think about......... if EVERY single gay and lesbian person, AND every person that supported equality for ALL people in this country left America tomorrow, this country would be destitute, depsondant, and utterly BROKE in a matter of SECONDS!!! Not that that would ever happen, but before people spit Vitriol and call it Law, you might want to take that into consideration. -

haha.. school... there were no gays in that were there? neither were there in Brave New World or 1984. Two more distopian novels. Anyways, i can't really be bothered to read this, as i can't really be bothered to watch any gay channel, especially when it won't appear here on any sort of my cable. I really think the post had nothing wrong with it tho, i think it's the fact people want to see something wrong with it. The part about the states heading the wrong way is funny tho. Once you come to the Netherlands drop by, TrixFor a really bad example of where this leads....rent "A Handmaid's Tale", or better yet, read the book. It is a very scary take on where Amurika is headed.
. But i think over here, although there's a lot more tolerance, there's still the discrimination. But i think we've reached a new level when 1 in 10 guys is gay here. But then again, i think i've become open minded to it, but i'd still rather them not be there. But don't we all repel what's different a bit?

That has nothing to do with it. Self control can concur that. You must have a stalactite forming under your table. Go buy a whore with no soul and get it out of your system. It was puberty's fault.

The point of Handmaid's Tale, was a certain group "deciding" (that's to say mandating) what is "decent" or "moral". Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it Christ who said "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone? The Christian Wrong sure is throwing a hell of a lot of boulders these days, acting very "un Christ-like" if you ask me.
Actually my fear for the US, is NOT a gay thing, rather, once they've succeeded with the GLBT population, where does it stop? Because, this kind of intolerance is not something that is going away, even if every single gay person was dead and gone. They would find someone else to hate. Maybe you, because you wear red socks with green shoes. That is the point. It is a mindset, that is cannibalistic in nature. Given the permission to run freely, they would eventually devour everyone until they had gotten down to themselves, and then they would self-destruct, which while not a bad thing, certainly creates quite a mess. Maybe they should just skip the rest of us, and worry about what's going on in their own sandboxes. OK I'm rambling. Back to work (that was directed at myself).
Have a fab day. Cheers. -

Am I allowed to laugh at you all for loving democracy yet fearing its side effects yet? Thefact is you are always going to have the majority trying to wipe out the minority. The majority will see themselves witht he largernumbers and thus be convinced that they are all right and there is no other way. As for they whole gays being treated unequally. Many Americans are against gay marriage because marriage has always had restriction on it. Every man in this country can marry the same just as every other man. There you have equallity of oprotunity. As Mad Dawg said a lot of people are looking at why people have their views. For many gay marriage shouldn't be allowed because they believe that marriage has always had restrictions and that is the wya that it works. This fear of extremes is what happens with democracy. Everybody goes around yelling "the majority rules" and eventually it will happen. In order to be a winenr people start grouping up more and more. Eventually you have two groups that are at the two ends with people just trickling in between. Then those two groups go at each other as they went after the groups similar to them. As soona s one is capable of having the majority it uses that power to supress and destroy the minority. So I laugh at the democrats of the world and I am now awaiting for the revolution aginst these United States. -

Wow. That is the most misused line in the entire Bible. Yes, Christ said he who is without sin cast the first stone, but if you actually read the Bible you would understand that EVERY person is sinful therefore we have no one has any right to cast the first stone. The point of Handmaid's Tale, was a certain group "deciding" (that's to say mandating) what is "decent" or "moral". Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it Christ who said "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone? I am tired of Christians, who are supposed to love all no matter who they are, bashing gays for their beliefs, and I am tired of gays who are supposed to be so open-minded, bashing Christaians for their beliefs. I am a Christian. I grew up in a Christian home, I went to Christian school all my life, I've gone to church all my life, I consider myself saved, and yet I understand that gays are people too. Even though I don't agree with their descision or lifestyle, I still RESPECT their descision and lifestyle. That is what is wrong with the world. It's not that we don't all agree it's that we can't agree to disagree and move on. When gays say hurtful things about Christians I get hurt, and when Chrsitians say hurtful things about gays, I have gay friends who get hurt. We can't just understand that we are all human.
Now lets look at that verse again. What Christ was saying is that we are all human. We all have our shortcomings and that none of us have the right to persecute each other. What we should do instead is understand each others diffrences, respect those diffreneces, and help each other in any way possible. -

Hevy, you totally missed my point. When I said Christians are throwing boulders, I was referring to all of the hubbub surrounding equal protection under the law. Whatever your personal religious views are, are of no consequence to me, nor should they be to anyone. What I speak of, are these people who purport to be Christian, who are trying to discriminate agaisnt people in the name of religion. The last time I checked, this country was not a theocracy.
And thanks, I have read the bible, as I too was raised Christian. As for the "misuse" of the line. I don't think so. You see, it is not my belief that we are all...."sinners", yet still god's children. That viewpoint is entirely too masochistic in my opinion. However, this is not a discussion of my religious beliefs. If you want to know what I believe, then there is a thread around here somewhere, where I laid them all out on the table for anyone to disect.
Yes we are all human beings. But you do not see this particular minority (GLBT) running around trying to amend laws to discriminate against anyone. Wouldn't it frustrate and upset you, if that was happening to you? Dollars to donuts says it would. Just something to think about. -

No Emo, not beligerant toward people who don't see things as I do. People who try to pass laws that are unfair. That's all. But some want to turn that into a "you hate Christians, you're mad at the world..blah blah blah" type of thing. That's certainly their choice.
P.S. I'm not asking for sympathy, nor anything remotely of the sort. I am merely stating my opinions. If you don't like them, that is certainly your choice.
P.P.S. If you think that my responses have been postal or angry, then you really don't want to see me when I'm actually mad. My "heartfelt" input in all of my posts here, is one of sadness, and dismay, not anger.
By the way....what was this topic ACTUALLY about?
