First things first... we make no claim that ANYONE will be picked from here. We make no claim that any new mods will have posted here. We already have a few people in mind. No, we're not going to tell you their names.
Anyway, if you think you would make a good Moderator.... answer these questions. Yes, you have to answer all of them. Even the last one.
What times, according to the board clock, would you be online?
Why do you want to be a mod?
As a mod, what would one of the first actions you take be?
Do you have prior experience?
Why *shouldn't* you be a mod?
Go. -

What times, according to the board clock, would you be online?
During the summer? With the beach 20 minutes away? Probably whenever I'm not working.
Why do you want to be a mod?
I think a better question is why not and I don't have a good answer. That's why I may not answer it when I get to it. Anyway, I'm on a lot and I know what a mod should do, and what a mod shouldn't do, and that's really important too. Mods don't have power or prestige, they have control and that's different. I don't think I'd ever go on a power trip or any shit like that. Plus, I have a lot of fun.
As a mod, what would one of the first actions you take be?
I don't think a mod has the right to instigate anything. And I'm a softie, so I'm not going to ban at will. I love all these guys. But I'd encourage that "report" button, cos albiet pointless, it really doesn't get used enough.
Do you have prior experience?
Yeah a little bit at google's rct site. I probably would've been offered a job by Red but I basically gave up on the place during the mod turnover.
Why *shouldn't* you be a mod?
I have too much fun?
btw I love ADIX
Because I use to many smilies?
hmm, I don't know.
Certainly not because I was the first to post. Maybe I could be like, the "night mod" or something. -

1)
I haven't a clue, really. I'm daily visiting NE. I'm around a lot. Definitely enough.
2)
Because I don't want others who I would consider improper to take the new spot as a mod.
3)
Get rid of annoying threads.
4)
No.
5)
- Because I would never be so presuming to say "I want to be a mod".
- Because I'd probably end up closing too many threads.
- Because I'd probably end up even deleting too many threads.
- Because not all people agree with me on what is an "annoying thread".
- I don't think the community would welcome me as a mod. -

I live in England, so I'm awake when everyone else is asleep and vice-versa, in terms of the board clock, I have no idea.
2)
I enjoy a sense of power, one of those Herzberg-esque motivational factors + I play bass.
3)
Try and intergrate a spell-checker into the boards *glares at Kumba*
4)
Well...no
5)
Becuase I'm a bit of a mysterious character and I'm not very familiar with all the n00bs with 1000 posts of shit. -

1. Hmmmm... Whenever I feel like it. Most of the day.
2. Because I would like to be more involved in the community.
3. Whatever seems appropriate.
4. No.
5. Because I'm a complete moron that doesn't know what he's talking about half the time. -

1) Assuming you mean the London one I would say about 4PM to about 8AM I would be online. Maybe not visiting the site the entire time but I would be online and there.
2)Probably what posix said and I would like to help the community.
3)I wouldn't want to start anything with anyone so I would probably ease into the job but if action needed to be taken I'm not going to sit there and take it even if it's my first week.
4)Yes. I was a Mod about year ago at RCTHQ. And recently I was named a Assitant Webmaster there. Also I was orginally asked to help design a site for hosting the top 100 parks list that was being done by Posix and some anyone else and help maintain it but it fell through.
5)Because I'm me. -

Ah we inferior Ride Ops don't get to ban or anything like that - you have to whine to iris/adix if you want that to happen. And I'm a softie, so I'm not going to ban at will. I love all these guys. But I'd encourage that "report" button, cos albiet pointless, it really doesn't get used enough.

Why *shouldn't* you be a mod?
Im online randomly, about any time from 8am to 1am.
So i can remove trolling posts or useless spaming ones in topics that matter.
The first thing i would do is look at the online list to see my username in a new color.
Yep i am a Mod now at RCTI's forums, and was one at rctcentral for about 3 months.
Coz better people like Micool and Posix are signing up, i think they would be better, anyways i will get to run my own NE forum for H2H3. -

it's a long shot, but it's worth a try!
What times, according to the board clock, would you be online?
-the board clock changes doesn't it? I mean, don't you set it in your user cp, anyways. i will be on from 3-10pm pacific on the weekdays, 12-1~am on weekends. thats pretty general, i'm not going to try to make holes in my life for newelement, but i am here alot of the time.
Why do you want to be a mod?
-i want to be a mod for many reasons. i have been here for quite awhile and seen alot of stuff in my time. i want to see newelement not generally grow but stay a good strong community where people can rant and rave and just in general have fun. i also want some fucking order because i am a neat freak. yeah. i shouldn't of let that slip out. EKEKEKE.
As a mod, what would one of the first actions you take be?
-well, it depends on what i am mod of. if i was mod of the MoP, i think that i would make some topic with some general rules. make a signture guideline that is more clear than the one zach has. if i was mod of anywhere else i doubt i would do anything, as people here don't really care about the moderators. they are more of an etheral thing, you know?
Do you have prior experience?
-yes, but not on iforums, i have been an IRC operator of a warez channel with 1200+ members. now those fuckers are annoying, always asking to have you send them stuff through the bots. and alot of them don't understand how anything works. took alot of work to get used to.
Why *shouldn't* you be a mod?
-heh, there are many reasons why i shouldn't be a mod. first, i dislike many people here. second, i think i would be biased towards other people, but who isn't biased, don't say no one because that's impossible. anyways, none of that theoretical shit now. third, according to adix my reading comprehension level is below zero, i doubht that would help me judge posts. :+] -

1. During weekdays I'm on every evening for most of the evening. At the weekends and during holidays, I'm on about 70% of the day. I have no social life so I basically spend all my time here.
2. I would like to play a functional part of the running of the site instead of relying on others. I wish to be of some use basically.
3. I wouldn't assert my authority too much. I wouldn't wish to seem like a dictator or abuse my power in any way at all. However, if a problem arised, I would carry out the necessary procedures in order to sort out the issue.
4. I mod/admin two forums, I moderate superrichs rollerct site with leighx. I'm also admin on a school forum. Therefore, I understand my duties and how to navigate the Mod CP.
5. I'm not hugely popular here, so why would you want to choose me? -
Tech Artist Offline
1. I am on most of the time around, 4pm-11pm CDT. The days I have off I am
on here and there. Basicly, I am on a lot during the day but mostly at night on weekdays. I'd say aroun 70-80% of the day I am on.
2. As Posix said, I'd like to help the community.
3. Probably nothing but if I needed to take any nessecery action I would.
Probably look around for useless threads and get rid of them so we don't have useless clutter filling up the boards. Also I would help in getting some better more interesting smileys on to the boards cause the ones we have now are getting stale.
4. Well, I have a small small amount. I was one at SWY's boards but there wasn't much to do around there so my experience is pretty small.
5. Probably because I am not that well liked here and have little experience in being a mod. -

What times, according to the board clock, would you be online?
Since its now summer, sporaidically throughout the day. Anytime from 9am-12am Central.
Why do you want to be a mod?
Makes me feel special. I like being a mod, I've been a mod at most of the major sites. I guess its entertaining to have someone say, "Whoa, hey, he's a mod, better act good in this thread". And I want world peace and would like to make a difference on the forums...
As a mod, what would one of the first actions you take be?
Gloat prolly, add the little thing to my signature Moderator at New Element Forums. Then close an obviously reckless thread started as a riot by some underage and undisciplined children!
Do you have prior experience?
I suppose. Former mod at Rct Station, Rct Uk, RCTHQ and RCT Market.
Why *shouldn't* you be a mod?
I could tend to be biased, I dislike others greatly (it'd make sense, seeing as I'd be biased against those I disliked).

What times, according to the board clock, would you be online?
During school (until June 21 or something like that), I'm on at 3:00 Eastern, and then other times during the day. During summer, I will be on sometime between the hours of 12 PM and 12 AM, Eastern.
Why do you want to be a mod?
Because I'm a power hungry control freak, not unlike AirBoss.
As a mod, what would one of the first actions you take be?
Close an inappropriate topic, or something.
Do you have prior experience?
Yeah, I used to be a bouncer at an exclusive Miami dance club.
Why *shouldn't* you be a mod?
Because I'm irresponsible, unruly, I hold grudges, and I will probably do something stupid. But those are all petty things, really. -
Ablaze Offline
What times, according to the board clock, would you be online?
I will be online after 6.00pm usually (UK time, so helps US mods out by giving them a break before their slot )
Why do you want to be a mod?
Because I think I could put more effort in than what the mods at the moment do.
As a mod, what would one of the first actions you take be?
I would like to help organise the Ad district a little, because there are still topics people make that have no relevance, members complain but mods are never there.
Do you have prior experience?
Yeah, I was a mod at Rct Station, pretty big site when it was around, other members will know that.
Why *shouldn't* you be a mod?
Because I am a park maker and that would just be greedy. -

What times, according to the board clock, would you be online?
-I'm on in the morning pacific time, and in the evening... and the night too...
... actually, I'd be on during class time too, all my classes use computers.
Why do you want to be a mod?
-gives me something to do while not making parks or playing guilty gear.
As a mod, what would one of the first actions you take be?
-I'd cut down on taxes, and raise funding for many neglected public services.
Other than that, I'd talk less, and be amusing when I did.
... Immediately though, I wouldn't change a thing. I like these boards, and iris doesn't want censorship frenzies anyway. Though if I see a topic that is in the wrong forum, I'm generally good about moving it pretty quickly (like if someone posts an ad in the basic chat, or a poll in the ad district, etc).
Do you have prior experience?
-okay... op in an anime direct connect hub (20GB shared required to enter), mod on 5 different webcomic boards (lemon tree, among others...), a freeform board called "the basement" (which I think the creator is going to make a webcomic out of our hijinks, not sure), I mod an anime/furry oekaki board, op in an anime related irc channel on aniverse with some odd 50 regulars(what I mean is there was always atleast 50 people in there at one time), and I currently mod 2 groups on yahoo groups each with 500+ people (I think one is +1000 right now actually...). Oh, I still have mod status on a few school club forums...
dude, asperix, don't you just LOVE it when people message you with like, your trigger, or a get command... its like "RTFM you retard!"
Why *shouldn't* you be a mod?
-I'd end up being here more, and that means I'd spend less time on actually playing rct or ggxx, which is something I'd imagine would frustrate iris to no end =P Plus I'd spend less time on my other mod stuffs at other places.
Also, a bad habit of mine (i've toned it down considerably) is if someone trolls in a delete worthy way, I have a tendency to garble what that person says instead of deleting their post... stuff like transforming "god hates fagz, jump off a cliff and catch aids you fucking queer! You burn in hell for fucking other men you know?!" into "<3 I LOVE BLITZ! <3 I WANT HIS MANLY LUV SHTICK! <33" and transform further complaints from the same person into sequels to the first change, which eventually tells the story of their love for me. Actually, that's a pretty isolated incidence, I did it once on of the random webcomic boards.
I don't imagine doing that here though, NE doesn't have any sort of TOS where that sort of thing is necessary (okay... maybe once, its oh so fun!)
