there are no religions that actually preach not to have sex, well, i'm sure there are but, i don't know of any names off the bat.

I doubt there are any religions that demand followers not to have sex. After all, if you think about it, most people are religious due to the influence of their parents. It would sort of take that whole influence out of the equation...

There are the Shakers of New England, Deano. They rely completely on ophaned kids and converts to continue the movement. Still not very sucessful though, only one Shaker community left.

Strange I searched for the story on german media and didn´t find anything about it. Usually the tabloids and tv would jump on a story like this.
What a strange coincidence that they BOTH had no idea of what was going on "down there". They really must have been locked away from the rest of the world.
Lübeck is in the north of germany, where people tend to be more open and not frantically religious. If this would have happened in the south I would have no problem believing this.
